Everyone is familiar with the Justice Department’s corrupt dismissal of the New Black Panther case. But the hostility toward race neutral law enforcement at the Civil Rights Division goes well beyond the voting case involving the panthers. Sometimes it involves violence.
I have this piece today discussing statements made by Mark Kappelhoff, chief of the criminal section at DOJ and reported here at Pajamas in the sworn testimony of Christopher Coates. Kappelhoff complained that the voting section’s lawsuits to protect white voters were causing enormous problems with the civil rights groups like the NAACP. A meaningless comment, you might presume? Actually no. Kappelhoff’s shop has jurisdiction over racially motivated violence (which is a federal crime). Guess what Kappelhoff’s criminal section has done about violent racially motivated beatings against whites across the country? Absolutely nothing, and I cover it in this article about the Mob in London, Milwaukee, California (PA) and Akron. Nobody has yet covered this dangerous trend of Holder’s Civil Rights Division using 18 U.S.C. 249 to protect everyone but white victims of violence.
In researching the story, I found this spectacular quote worth mentioning (in context) here:
Perhaps the civilized will outnumber the uncivilized. Or, perhaps the burning and looting provides instead a preview of our future.
Sir Winston Churchill understood this. “Civilization will not last,” he said at the University of Bristol in 1938, “freedom will not survive, peace will not be kept, unless a very large majority of mankind unite together to defend them and show themselves possessed of a constabulary power before which barbaric and atavistic forces will stand in awe.”
That we have a President that contemptuously expelled this great man’s bust from the Oval Office only increases our task.

That was a quote from Holder? From your article?
“the Civil Rights Division goes well beyond the voting case involving the panthers. Sometimes it involves violence.”
Might I suggest that if the tables were turned, and whites had been videotaped at a polling station threatening blacks, it would be viewed by the Left as a transgression which was extremely violent. Perhaps worse than murder. The execrable Chief of Staff Mike Mullen made a similar type of point which illustrates my supposition when he suggested that Nidal Hussein’s mass murder at Fort Hood was bad, but if diversity “suffered” as a result, then THAT would be “far worse”. The obscenity of their hypocrisy and double standards still leaves me gobsmacked after all these years.
The cancerous Hate Laws which underpin this entire multi-culti mess are to blame. In them, Justice is not blind, the Scales of Justice are not balanced. Special protected classes are given additional protections and privileges under the law, and criminals who transgress against these protected classes receive extra severe punishments.
“Might I suggest that if the tables were turned, and whites had been videotaped at a polling station threatening blacks, it would be viewed by the Left as a transgression which was extremely violent.”
The left screams about a police car pulled to the side of the road a mile away from a polling place. They shriek in horror over a billboard pointing out that only citizens may legally vote.
twasn’t Mullen that made that diversity statement, but Casey. A rather significant difference between the two
As one victim in the Akron attack said: “This makes you think about your freedom. In all reality, where is your freedom when you have this going on?”
It bears repeating:
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Barack Obama doesn’t half care about white people.
I wonder what became of the Churchill bust after Obama sent it back. Would anyone in England still recognize it?
So lets see if I can summarize this. A group of 100 black youths beats up one white guy. The holder justice dept does nothing. Now the big question, if a mob of 100 white youths beat up a single black guy, would the Holder justice dept do anything about it. I suspect the answer would be yes. Unless of course the white guys were SEIU thugs, and the single black guy was from the Tea Party, then we already know he would again do nothing.
The Holder justice dept no longer has a civil rights division. It has a prosecute crimes the NAACP does not like, and ignore all others, division.
Never in my life have I seen a justice dept so completely politicised, and so riddled with cronyism and favoritism. And I am old enough to have seen a lot of bad justice departments.
To quote former Lyndon Johnson speechwriter Harry McPherson:
The voters were becoming quietly enraged by crime and disorder and
by what they regarded as permissiveness on the part of institutional
authority. Politicians who wanted to escape that rage should identify
themselves with the forces of law and order. It was not necessary that
they countenance ruthless acts of suppression, or even that they defend
the police against the charges that had been made against them. Just
that they show whose side they were on: the mugger, the looter, the
sniper, the violent protester, or the law enforcer. If there was any doubt
in the voters’ minds about that, all the magnanimity and progressivism
in the world would not sufWce to save the candidate. If the doubt was
removed, the candidate was free to promote whatever liberal schemes
he wished.
And yet once again, I would note that it is “Law Enforcement”, who have sworn an oath of office to “…preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution…” who are the enablers for this swill. Can you imagine what this country would be if even HALF of its “Law Enforcement” actually HONORED that oath?
The only good pig…
Mark, the police are stretched too thin because their primary duty is to issue parking tickets, hiding behind every bush in case someone comes to a rolling stop near a stop sign, and in the case of NYC, to harass smokers and people who sprinkle salt on their meals. The reason they concentrate on those who drive to work and park their cars in busy areas is because these folks have money that can be collected for the betterment of “all”, specifically the government. In Wisconsin, the police made sure that all businesses that supported the Republican reforms were warned of possible violent consequences if the unions didn’t get their money.
“The only good pig…?”
Mark,
As my Father was in law enforcement for over 45 years I’m a tad biased, but as the saying goes for other elements of society, no one hates a bad cop more than another cop.
Vinny’s assessment above is dead on as revenue generation has become the number one priority for Police Departments and the protection of the citizenry secondary.
To which I would also add the courts and judges who interpret and legislate from the bench rather than applying the existing laws as written and within the explicit limitations upon the amount of leeway and latitude they are allowed regarding any special circumstances in any case.
Turning our courts into an endlessly revolving door for the criminals and as just another means of generating revenue by handing out fines and court costs rather than sentences, putting and leaving all of society at risk in the process. And especially the police officers on the street with the bad guys knowing they have nothing to risk, lose or fear.
In Montgomery County, Ohio such liberal judges taking just such endless liberties with the law and their authority, to both address and redress what they consider to be social wrongs as well as another means of generating revenue by such rubber stamped sentencing via fines only, has reached the point that the FBI will not waste their time and resources, nor risk a lawsuit, to bring a case before a judge or grand jury for consideration in Montgomery County. (As stated in a public meeting by the Montgomery County Sheriff).
