Another Hard Day for the Fundraiser in Chief

There’s a lot of filler in that schedule, with every departure and arrival noted as if it means the president is doing more than entering or disembarking an airplane. I’m not saying he’s not living up to Wednesday’s pledge to not rest until there are more jobs. I don’t have to say it, when his schedule says it clearly enough.

That DNC event is at the Ritz Carlton in New York City, a lavish hotel most Americans can scarcely imagine entering. No word yet on whether most tickets to tonight’s fundraiser will cost more than most Americans make in a year (assuming they have jobs), as has been the case at many recent Obama fundraisers.

Tonight’s DNC event marks the president’s third fundraiser this week. He attended two on Monday.
