Video: Maybe the Best Political Ad of the Season

Check out this great video about one of the president’s possible replacements. It wasn’t produced by the potential candidate’s team, since the candidate in question hasn’t even declared yet.

This ad was produced by a group called Students4Perry. Perry caused a stir with his prayer rally over the weekend. Here’s all I have to say about that. Given the choice between a president who is a proven failure who casts blame on everyone else, or a man known for praying and getting good things done, I’ll take the latter. In a heartbeat.

By the way, Perry seems to be traveling a bit this weekend.

I kinda like the idea of a man who has the humility to admit we need some extra help.

Great, great video. Rick Perry is the man.

I’ld pray with Rick, I’ld even pray with the Huckster BUT, I will not ever vote for another RINO again! We held our nose to vote for McCain and look where that got us!

We put in over 80 Tea Party candidates into Congress and we can sure as hell put one in the White House!

Does GOP want Perrys DREAM act too? http://bit.ly/lmyB3R

He prays! OMG HE PRAYS! No care about his voting record or anything as long as that man prays he’s just like me and I think he’d make a great president!

Huckabee is a HUGE RINO. Privatizing new road construction is not insufficiently conservative. The status quo is.

while i voted for him as governor, i could never bring myself to vote gov. zoolander in as president. CAIN ’12

    You seriously like this ad????
The heavy oppressive music makes is appear like some totalitarian propaganda piece -y’know where the viewer is so assualted with the heavily orchestrated music that you never have a chance to think and react to what you see on your own. Its a heavy handed attempt to force a reaction from you.

The quick cuts to news programs also seem lame and heavy-handed. It is just a very unpleasant experience watching it.

I am not speaking at all as to the content of the political argument being put forth. I don’t think the ad works at all in terms of persuasion on those points. Perry supporters will love it because it is a loud, emotional appeal for their guy. Everyone else will be rather turned off by it.

    Amateur.

I wouldn’t be so fast to toot a horn over what you think is so great about Texas and Perry! Maybe when you have time folks, check out the U.S. vs. Texas POVERTY RATES.

    • amy

Last I checked, T. T. Thomas, Texas’ poverty rate was about the same as Arizona’s. Obviously the poverty rate in the state with the longest US-Mexico border is going to be high.

Look, the RNC has the money & the elitists in that organization are RHINO’S
So I would rather have Perry than Huntsman (love letters to POTUS) or Romney (Romneycare)
My dream team would be Perry & Cain
RNC has the bucks so let’s hope they at least pick Perry

The illegal alien problem is huge in the states that border Mexico. No matter how much the state (and it doesn’t matter which state) budgets for indigent health care (for example), it is never enough. I live in Texas, and the counties are just swamped with the “care and feeding” for illegal immigrants. Imagine how well Texas would be doing without this problem. Our border schools struggle, and there is never enough money to do what the need to do, much less want to do. How can you “pay” for illegals when you don’t even know how many there are?

I watched the ten o’clock news last night on a station from San Antonio, and it showed how the food banks are just struggling to keep up with the demand. It showed volunteers loading cases of bottle tea into the back of SUVs. Really. I can’t even afford bottled tea, much less by the case.

I don’t blame people from Mexico from wanting to come to the U.S. I just wish they’d pay for their own babies and buy car insurance. If nothing else, I think Rick Perry will at least try to do something about the borders. It’s worth voting for him just for that.
