From the capacious mind of Richard Miniter comes the prediction that the Democratic party is doomed. In an article for Forbes, Miniter says Barack Obama,”is not the new FDR, but the new Gorbachev: a man forced to preside over the demise of a political system he desperately wants to save.” The argument is somewhat Marxist, ironically enough, in that he says that leftism essentially produces its own gravediggers:
“This week’s fight over raising the federal debt limit exposes a key weakness in the warfare-welfare state that has bestowed power onto the Democratic Party: Without an ever-growing share of the economy, it dies. Every vital element of the Democrats’ coalition — unions, government workers, government contractors, “entitlement” consumers — requires constant increases in payments, grants and consulting contracts. Without those payments, they don’t sign checks to re-elect Democrats.”

Just because they are doomed does not mean that we are saved. If the pilot of an aircraft is doomed, the passengers are not going to have a good day either.
I don’t see this problem as attached to one man or even one party, at least over time. America’s problem is Critical Pedagogy and it’s adherents, many of who may not even be aware of the phrase; to them it’s Political Correctness.
It is the most dangerous ideology in America today and goes across party lines to a certain extent although its main effect on Conservatives is to silence them. Name me one prominent Conservative calling for the end of immigration? There is no one although there is clearly no reason to import over a million people a year which strains job capacity and our environment.
At its core CP is a race based, identity based Marxist philosophy that values social awareness over empirical awareness. After all, what use is book learning if you live in a racist women hating society? In this sense, Haiti is a land of unlucky physicists, held back only by people who have nothing to actually do with their depraved culture.
You don’t have to take down Obama but the rock he stands on. Otherwise more robots will be churned out of the anti-colonialist, anti-racist, social justice stereotype factory.
To do this we have to challenge what amounts to hate speech emanating from the NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus, institutions like the YWCA and our colleges and also MSNBC, CNN and the Huffington Post. They call everyone in the world racists but they are the institutional bigots in this country. The institutionalized racism they rail against is gone. That’s why they keep re-defining what racism is with White Privilege, the New Jim Crow, Racism 2.0 and the like.
CP says there is no such thing as failure but there is and it’s not hard to see or something to blame others for but right in front of your face. We have to make people confront this and empower the ideas of a classless Horatio Alger meritocracy that in fact has suffused this nation from the beginning. The fact that some people are unable to operate within that opportunity is nothing to me nor should the standards of this country be lowered to suit them.

You hit the nail on the head! To maintain their own flows of wealth, both major political party organizations have empowered the ethnic groups with below average IQ’s to drag down the USA. Decisions about spending and taxing have become a racially polarized fight. It will get very ugly.

Yes , spot on, but what is coming as a result of all this is your absolute worst nightmare. Upon reading “Why Democrats are Doomed” one can only come to the conclusion that their will be rioting in the streets. It will make Greece look civilized . We’re talking total lawlessness. Somalia comes to mind. If one reads this article along with Nightjar’s comments, it becomes obvious that when your only concern is “ideology’ everything else goes to hell.

Every one of our families friends who immigrated years ago to Canada from Europe lives in beautiful homes today, this as a result of sheer hard work and saving. Same can be said for the majority of Jew, Chinese, and Indian immigrants to Canada. Why was poor english, an accent, two and three children never an obstacle for these people. They never had an excuse. They saw limitless opportunity in a new free land, a better life for their children. Today our Toronto District School Board claims only whites can be racist. They are raising a new generation of PC victims.

They CAN meet the standards. They just have never been REQUIRED to grow up. They enjoy the safe cocoon, the semi-independence, of adolescence. Being an adult, fully independent, is much rougher.
I don’t disagree with that notion: people of color and women can continue to be treated as hapless morons by their own Democratic Party and reap the benefits, or show some real pride and come to realize that their own heroes think of them as second class citizens that need permanent, not temporary, affirmative action entitlements that in the long run don’t say, “You live in an unjust society,” but, “You don’t measure up and we don’t expect you to.”
Look at the Atlanta cheating scandal: what the hell is the overarching paradigm there and what did spending all my tax dollars do? These are the people who laugh at Columbus as nothing more than a slaver without realizing they themselves don’t have the brains or the intestinal fortitude and discipline to have even gotten far enough to be considered a slaver or not one. You have to be educated for that. You think Columbus had his hand held and was towed to America by Democrats?
We already know such people as headed up Atlanta’s cheats are racists, they just don’t have any power to really express it outside the shelter and unjust gerrymandering of laws of the Democratic Party.
That’s why I’ve always thought of Louis Farrakhan as Hitler without an army; same racists, no brains to truly carry out their hate. The Atlanta racial advocates are Columbus without a ship or the means to use it if they had one.
And the woman who headed up the Atlanta scandal? She won’t be sued for the money because she’ll have to be reimbursed for any losses by guess who? Yup, you and me. This all comes long before Obama and is bigger than him. It’s a system that has to be completely dismantled.
When you get down to the nub, a free society requires either honorable leaders or citizens who are willing to purge the corrupt ones.
There is growth in both the former and the latter, but the timing is problematic.
As the author of the article says, the honey pot is running out of honey. But what he doesn’t say is that the thugs are also on the verge of cornering the honey market. And I’m not sure at all that the good guys have sufficient momentum. The thugs are going to be standing on the pedal in the next 16 months. They’re already desperate. The brass ring is so close, and the threat to them is growing daily. They won’t be standing down.
It’s feeling like a critical tipping point, not just for the country, but for history itself. A tipping point as important as the expulsion of Islam from Europe, the Reformation, the American Revolution, 1940, or 1989. This one is idealogical, not military. The others ended up pretty well. This one isn’t so certain.

How to get from point A to point B is the question. The situation is eloquently described. What are the practical steps to achieve a solution?
You start by attacking the prominent edges and take away their funding and ability to diseminate propaganda. For example, the YWCA and MSNBC. The latter has Al Sharpton being groomed to increase his presence.
Start attacking both in essays linking them to Marxist Critical Pedagogy and Cloward-Piven. The YWCA supports the White Privilege Conference and Seeing Whiteness Conference, both rooted in the idea white people are simply racists. Sharpton is totally on board with this.
Go after the Y’s funding and MSNBC’s advertisers. Hate speech is hate speech and being portrayed as anti-American won’t help the Y or MSNBC. You go after the colleges the same way, just like we got rid of Ward Churchill. We can get rid of Sharpton the same wsy. The guy hates white people, extorts money from companies according to the New York Post and has no business on TV. He should be out in the boonies with David Duke.

There is a parallel analogy from the real world, far removed from esoteric politics. A hot-air balloon stays aloft due to the lighter-than-air gases in its canopy. The problem which every balloonist knows is that they need constant re-supply of those gases to remain aloft. Minus that re-supply, the balloon sinks ignomously back to earth.
Gorbamachov, Pelosevich and the rest don’t grasp this basic fact: Leftyism is, by its nature, self-defeating. When your grand strategy is to keep tightening the tourniquet around the goose’s neck, you’re going to get fewer and fewer golden eggs. With fewer eggs, you can’t fund your huge entitlement state: Greece.
On the other hand, it behooves us to prevent them from taking us to Athens.
