Gunwalker: New Hearings Scheduled
According to a release from Rep. Darrell Issa, (R-Calif.) his House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has scheduled new hearings into the on going Operation Fast and Furious scandal — this time they’ll be talking to ATF agents based in Mexico:
“Operation Fast and Furious: The Other Side of the Border” will examine accounts of agents based in Mexico
Washington DC– On Tuesday, July 26th, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will convene a hearing as part of the ongoing investigation into the Department of Justice’s Operation Fast and Furious, a tragically flawed effort that is connected to deaths on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border.The Committee’s previous hearing, Operation Fast and Furious: Reckless Decisions, Tragic Outcomes, featured ATF agents who testified they were ordered to let guns destined for Mexican drug cartels walk and heartbreaking testimony from the family of a U.S. Border Patrol agent whose murder is linked to guns that law enforcement chose not to interdict.
This Tuesday’s hearing, Operation Fast and Furious: The Other Side of the Border, will feature the testimony of U.S. law enforcement officials who witnessed a different side of the controversial operation. These officials saw the steady stream of Operation Fast and Furious guns recovered at crime scenes in Mexico and were given orders from superiors not to alert Mexican authorities. Members of the Committee will also have their first opportunity to question ATF supervisors who have defended Operation Fast and Furious and the Justice Department’s decisions to committee investigators.
“The Acting Director of the ATF has told congressional investigators that the Justice Department is attempting to shift blame in Operation Fast and Furious away from its political appointees,” said Chairman Darrell Issa. “Examining the accounts of witnesses who did not participate in Operation Fast and Furious, but were nonetheless disturbed as they watched it unfold is critical to understanding the scope of this flawed program. This testimony is especially important in light of the Justice Department’s willful efforts to withhold key evidence from investigators about what occurred, who knew and who authorized this reckless operation.”
This should prove interesting. This scandal seems to reach ever higher into the DoJ. Let’s hope for some indictments and resignations out of this.

The malfeasance from the DOJ on EVERY level is unprecedented in its lawlessness!!

The history of government is the history of corruption.
This era of govt. will go down as one the most corrupt in history. More such hearings should be taking place. If we cannot count on our three branches to keep each other in line, what can we count on? These days it is more that the one protects the others’ unethical behavior to protect their own unethical behavior. It is rare in this political climate to look to an elected official with anything more than contempt and loathing at the vast corruption that circles them; Issa proves the exception. May he follow this to the end and hold all those accountable to their crimes. Hundreds of innocent lives have been lost to drug cartels violence, many of which were mere children… may the punishments be fitting to their crimes of mass murder. I commend Rep Issa and support him with great respect.
When was the last time anything constructive came from a Congressional committee? Issa’s Oversite Committee can’t even get non-redacted emails from the Justice Department or the Administration. It’s a joke and the Democrats don’t care.

Why has Mexico remained so quiet about this scandal? Can you imagine if we found out that Mexican officials had violated federal laws to allow military class weapons to be sold illegally with the purpose of knowingly transferring them to dangerous gangs in the United States? Would our government remain quiet?
Has Presidente Calderon used this to extract political advantage against obama? is that why Obama capitulated on the mexican trucks issue? what other promises did Obama make to keep this quiet?
Is this the reason why Caldern was allowed to speak before Congress and demand changes to US laws to limit the illegal traffic of guns to Mexico?
Could mexico prepare to sue the United States? How many Mexican citizens died as a result of these guns? How many in Central America?
FACT: Obama and Holder wanted to bring down Arizona’s gun policies. So they made it possible for weapons to be sold IN ARIZONA to the cartels. Then they were going to go to Mexico, find the weapons, and blame Arizona’s lax gun laws for the whole thing! They didn’t plan on FOX NEWS getting wind of it! Now they’re spinning it saying it was a botched mission!
Shut down the government, withhold their pay checks and indict all 535 for treason! A complete investigation is required of all their dealings and financials. DUPES one and all! They are saying that blacks are going to riot if Obama is arrested, but they should fear the MILLIONS of Americans rioting, not just blacks if he’s not taken down.
