You can’t make this stuff up. Somebody over at FireDogLake must think the 2005 opening act in New Orleans was Katrina and the Waves … and W had the power to stop hurricanes. But what is even more interesting – after the requisite anti-Bush screed – is how the progressive left continues to turn against President Obama.
This writer is “not ready to crown Barack Obama the Worst President Ever just yet.” But The One has clearly not lived up to his billing: “not only has he failed to create jobs or restart the economy, he has paid only lip service to progressive policies and betrayed his base at almost every turn.”
And with that analysis, we’ve found serious common ground between the center-right Tea Party world and the progressive left.
Upset by Obama’s lip service: Check.
Upset by a feeling of betrayal: Check. Check. And check.
Upset Obama doesn’t know how to create jobs: Check. And scary-check.
Upset Obama doesn’t know how to restart the economy: Check. Check. Check. Check. Check. Check…
At PJTV we’ve covered the Tea Party movement from the very beginning. Along the way we’ve noticed one thing about Tea Party groups from coast to coast: It doesn’t matter who you are or when you want to join the party, the Tea Party welcomes you.
To the folks at FireDogLake, we’re not only happy to have found some common ground, we hope you’ll join disgruntled Tea Party activists and support the candidate in 2012 who has real plans for restarting the country’s economic engine and has some idea how to spur private-sector job growth.
And that line about Bush destroying New Orleans? Hilarious. You’re such kidders.

“he has paid only lip service to progressive policies and betrayed his base at almost every turn.”
Really? Obama has not pushed progressive policy? Ever heard of Obamacare and Keyesnian economics? There’s the rub. Socialists never admit that their ideology does not work….it just hasn’t been tried yet.
Of course they rarely ever admit it in mixed company, but the left will always feel betrayed by their chosen leader until they have a Castro, Chavez or a Mao in office. And once that time comes, they’ll be too busy at the forced labor camp to have any time to reflect on their betrayal.
New Orleans hasn’t been destroyed; I saw a picture of it on the news the other day.
Is that a joke site, like “The Onion”?
I wouldn’t fall for that one. Maybe if they said Obama was raised in a muslim circus.
What’s an “og”?
The “progressives” are basically delusional whiners and will turn on anyone who can’t make unicorn burgers out of bull crap. It’s helpful that they are turning against Obama but no one should be under any illusion that they would actually be happy with a libertarian or conservative administration. Whoever’s in charge, they will not be happy unless all their mutually-contradictory desires are met. Forget them, they are a few “ums” and “uhs” short of a presidential address.
Just because our Marxist/Radical president is not Marxist/Radical enough for the progressives it is silly to think that they would join forces with the Tea Party. In fact, thank God for that. I would hate to see them spreading their cancer outside of their own inbred circles. If we all are lucky, there will never be any common ground between the Tea Party and the Progressive Movement.
It alway worries me when a writer begins their article with the phrase “You can’t make this stuff up.” Yes you can. You just did. Everythigh you wrote here is made up.
They mean “destroyed New Orleans” in terms of turning it from a liberal ideological following corrupt den of snakes (which is their preference, see Detroit) into a functioning city. (google news pieces on the New Orleans school system and reflect on whether you though you would ever see positive stories in say circa 2004)
Yep, quoting some nobody who happens to have a blog certainly exposes the left.
I was a member and believer in the Pajama Media in 2005. Then the levees broke and I was an eye witness to the abandonment of American citizens for YEARS by the US government. I don’t believe in anything anymore. We are all on our own. There is no such thing as the USA, not unless you are a foreign country that has pissed off a president. A lot of good that has done this country.
Doctorj2u are you a javascript or automated WordPress bot?
No. I speak the absolute truth. Maybe you will have to be faced with absolute devastation to understand where I am coming from. I hope you never have to understand.
It is the federal governments job to provide it’s citizens with SHORT TERM aid in the event of an emergency. The problems in New Orleans were directly caused by a corrupt state and local government. A few days after the disaster I heard an interview on Fox. The president of the Red Cross said that they were prohibited from entering New Orleans by the governor of the state. Much of the US suffered damage from the storm and they have rebuilt with their own sweat and hard work. New Orleans has not! Who’s fault is that???
That’s a tough one; ummmm….. let me guess. Ahhhhh. White people?
Spent a most enjoyable hour just scraping the surface of the frothing O hatred at the Firedoglake link above. They are coming up with even better stuff than they did about Bush.
I had concern over our prospects in 2012 until seeing the thousands of these posts from those who found their mortgage and car payments weren’t promptly taken care of post-election. And my my, they’re not pleased one bit.
