My Congress talks so loud

Came in after election
Swearing to stand up strong and unbowed
‘Cause the President’s run up debt
Lord, hasn’t he run up debt?
Creating entitlement rights
So people think everything is free

But when they get behind closed doors
Then their backbones can’t be found
And they don’t stand up for the cuts they can

The Congress holds the power
The Constitution gives it the power
The President can only
Do what Congress wants him to do
His executive orders are creating rogue agencies
So if he’s spoiling for a fight
Congress needs to defend liberty

But when they get behind closed doors
Then their backbones can’t be found
They just bow to the President’s plan
