Obama accuses Republicans of using debt ceiling as ‘gun against the heads’ of Americans to extract tax breaks for corporate jet owners
More violent rhetoric from the president who called on one segment of America to punish another segment of America as its “enemies.” The One said this during today’s Twitter confab.
“The debt ceiling should not be something that is used as a gun against the heads of the American people to extract tax breaks for corporate jet owners, for oil and gas companies that are making billions of dollars because the price of gasoline has gone up so high.”
What, no call for liberals to get to the nearest political knife fight with a gun?
Why, it was just the other day that President Obama called for Republicans and Democrats to leave their rhetoric at the door, before he compared Republicans to murderous hostage-takers. And that was after Obama declined a Republican offer to meet on the debt, before deciding to call for a summit to meet with Republicans on the debt. The message in all this is, Obama plays by his own rules while trying to dictate the rules to the rest of us.
Between that “guns to the heads” line and suggesting that he doesn’t like the US military, I’d say President Obama had a boffo twitter event. And TOTUS’ job should be quite safe until 2012.

I’d be happy to just have the debt ceiling used as a gun-to-the-head against more debt. How’s an infant supposed to ever get ahead in life when they’re born $45,000 in hock?

This is the same Obama who used every underhanded trick to get a healthcare bill stuffed down the American taxpayer’s throat.
That bill alone has essentially precluded small to medium sized businesses from hiring…well into the future.
Mr. Obama’s agenda is the destruction of the American culture and the sinking of American Exceptionalism.

So much for toning down the rhetoric. Ohhh that was supposed to apply to conservatives. This from the guy that would bring a gun to a knife fight.

In 2008, as candidate for President, Barack Obama was asked whether high gas prices could help us. He did not deny, rather stating he would have prefered a gradual increase.
Not gradual enough?
But we aren’t up to $4 a gallon yet.
