Glenn Beck moving to Texas
The New York Daily News reports that Glenn Beck sold his Connecticut mansion and is moving to Texas.
Beck stated: “As we build a new media, I’m not building it in New York.”
Gee, could that be because New York has high taxes that punish entrepreneurs who become “too rich,” whereas Texas has no income tax?
Or could it be because all those tolerant, diversity-supporting liberals who “hate conservatives” because “We’re in New York and we hate Republicans”?
Or maybe it’s because all those peace-loving lefties who believe it’s okay to purposefully spill wine on Beck’s wife because of their political views?
I know I’m going out on a limb here and appearing intolerant. I mean, after all, isn’t it okay to assault somebody if you feel like it? Isn’t that just an expression of feelings protected by the First Amendment?
Since nobody was arrested by NYPD, this must be the law in New York. Correct?
Welcome to intolerant, violent, unenlightened Texas, Glenn. We’re happy to have you here.

I can’t even start to list all the positives in this move for Beck, but most importantly, the improved safety and quality of life for his family.
I can’t even start to list all of the positives in this move for Beck, his family and his business interests. I think the first improvement the Beck’s will experience will be in the safety and well being of their family. This is In his final program, Beck said “I am overwhelmed with the feeling, ‘If you don’t leave now, you will not leave with your soul.’ … Never want anything too much. Never.”… I can think of no place better than the wide open spaces and freedom of Texas to make your own path.
Welcome to Texas!
From a liberal perspective it is ok to engage in that type of behavior because the victim “deserves it”. The key question is who qualifies to “deserve it”? Basically anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
A relative of mine was discouraged that he was leaving Fox. I said, just wait you will see his full talent come out now. I’m hoping he leads a conservative media Renaissance that includes news and the arts.
He’s moving to Texas, because of the gun laws. Next time some mob threatens him and his family, he’ll be able to pop a cap in they @sses. There is nothing, if you are a man, like seeing your family abused and being unable to do anything about it. Nothing!
No, I have not talked to Beck, but I know I would have been absolutely seething, and still would be. It’s not about the intolerance or the hate. It’s not even fear. It is about the helplessness. Women feel it when they get raped. Men feel it when they cannot defend their families.
Beck is not going for friendlier environs. He’s going to where he won’t ever be powerless again. It is a primal decision. “Nie Wieder!” (Never again!)
In 6 months of residency he can apply for his Texas CHL. In the meantime, there are some nice gun shops near where he’s settling, and I’m sure they’d love to have him as a customer.
I don’t agree that it’s all about defending his family. I think he’s leaving NY because he wants to live what he believes. He’s literally supporting a system he doesn’t believe in by continuing to live in it (NY). He is also rewarding that failed system with his money. I suspect he would rather reward a thriving system like TX by taking his jobs there & creating more there. I don’t think it’s solely a selfish decision. I think it has to do more with his faith and living it by example then specifically about being able to protect his family. Although, TX will provide all those other perks as well. Welcome back to south Mr. Glenn Beck….it’s about time.
