Tomorrow morning we get the chance to interview GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, during a campaign swing through Texas. Cain is coming off what most regard as a clear victory in the first Republican presidential debate.
What would you ask Mr. Cain?
Bryan Preston has been a leading conservative blogger and opinionator since founding his first blog in 2001. Bryan is a military veteran, worked for NASA, was a founding blogger and producer at Hot Air, was producer of the Laura Ingraham Show and, most recently before joining PJM, was Communications Director of the Republican Party of Texas.
Have you picked your running mate yet? Because you will be the Republican nominee in 2012. Hallelujah!
What is your plan for decentralizing the federal government, and giving control back to the states?
It’s been reported that you support affirmative action. After our current experience with the occupant of the White House, have you re-thought that position?
I like what I’ve heard, but I want to know your position on the social issues: abortion, marriage, parental rights, etc. Thank you.
1) Will you work to get rid of the TSA and put security back into the hands of the airlines and airports?
2) Do you think the Department of Education is vital? How about Constitutional?
3) The current president is going to leave office with foreign relations in shambles. Who do you think would make a good Secretary of State and why? What experience do you have that should make me think you are ready to deal with foreign relations?
4) I don’t care what you think about gays but I’d love to hear how passionate you are about property rights. You are, right?
Given your former position as Board Chair and Member, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, what is your stance on auditing and possible even abolishing the Fed? Given how hard the battle was fought to abolish the “Bank of the United States” in the 19th Century (and which Andrew Jackson considered his premier accomplishment)…

And that Woodrow Wilson considered the establishment of the Federal Reserve his worst:

…Might it not be to the advantage of the nation to end almost a century of this body’s influence?
My question is,who did you vote for in 2010?
Sorry, who did you vote for for President in 2008?
Will you support the introduction of a bill, immediately after you are sworn in, to require Congress and other Federal Employees to change their medical and retirement plans to those currently used for military personnel?
If nominated, you are going to be subjected to a level of vitriol and abuse that would probably make a SERES graduate cringe. ARE YOU READY TO COPE WITH THAT?
Of equal importance, since I suspect that everyone (including the Left) already knows the answer to the question above, are your family and friends/associates ready? Knowing that they can’t faze you, the Left will go after those you hold dear, and try to demoralize you by ruining THEIR lives. Have you discussed that with your wife and your children? Will they stand with you, or will you be able to continue to serve according to your ideals, watching them being figuratively (hopefully, ONLY figuratively, but after events in Wisconsin and elsewhere, I suppose this can’t be taken for granted) being savaged, perhaps being the very people they once thought were friends?
I feel terrible asking this question…it shouldn’t need to be asked, but I think a fair and rational assessment of the tactics of the Left will support my concern.
Given all of the above – I very respectfully ask: can you guarantee that you can and will (to coin a phrase!) “stay the course”?
Would you support a constitutional amendment of the commerce clause returning to the States all matters of legislating commerce except for the federal government legislating free trade between the many state?
Hey, I voted for Gore in 2000 (I was unimpressed by Bush). I corrected my vote in 2004, I assure you. (I also corrected my opinion on their relative impressiveness.)
Cain is undoubtedly

Cain is undoubtedly a smart customer, but politicians actually have (limited) job skills. Does Cain possess them? Can be build a working consensus? Can he master the double job of speaking boldly, yet without offending some large minority of the electorate? I mean, I’d vote for him if he hasn’t the latter skills, but he needs more than my vote.
Mr. Cain,
Last December, 2010 you were setting in for Neil Bortz on his program and the question arose regarding the Audit of the Fed. You regarded that as unnecessary because “The Fed is being audited by many every day”.
Having sat on the Kansas City Fed Board, I truely am interested further clairity. I hope you can explain the Fed’s workings and explain our countries monitary system.
Great Guy and been listening to Mr Cain for years.
