First Geronimo, now this. A military dog participated in the operation against Bin Laden. The dog even entered the home!
The U.S. Senate will be holding a hearing on the use of the codename Geronimo at 2:15 EDT Thursday. You can catch it here.

Oinking in the dark:
If the dog was not offensive enough! As the helicopters were leaving someone heard a stuttering little voice say “ttth-that’s all fff-folks!”
I was kind of hoping the dog lifted its leg on osama…you know, a short wiz for the road.
Leave it to our Orwellian politically correct liberal Left to worry about semantics in the face of an extra-legal assassination.
Shooting a guy in the head ain’t the problem, but did you wear a tuxedo with white socks doing it? If this isn’t a further sign of the end of Western civilization I don’t know what is. We ourselves have become so nuts in the way we parse solutions to problems we can’t see in the first place that it’s frightening.
We fight terrorists overseas and import their political base into America in their thousands; this is dangerous but cannot be stopped because if we prevent our own cultural suicide then we are racists.
Well, that all makes sense: next civilization please.
I hope the dog was named “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” and wore a turban and that it urinated on Bin Laden and bit him in the ass.
Remember, you’re talking about a country where the HuffPo had an outraged blog about a young black man at Penn who suffered the indignity of being asked for info about where to find chicken and called a race name by a drunk white guy while at the same time the HuffPo had a terse matter of fact short account of two British tourists gunned down dead in a black neighborhood in Sarasota with 20 bullet casings around them.
We are mad and we have to start taking this country back and do it from an intellectual space that calls out “racers” and ends their reign, that looks at immigration as the destructive force it is in a world that will have 10 to 13 billion people in 40 years.
Let’s face it, our fight with liberals is all centered around racial sensitivities as this story shows. We must start countering cries of racism and profiling with nuanced but to the point arguments that shut these people down.
Read my essay I just finished called “The Huffington Post and ‘White America’s Shame’”. It is long but I think it is important and makes some good points if you will permit me to say so.
For starters, let’s challenge Al Sharpton, Tavis Smiley, Roland Martin at CNN, Michael Eric Dyson, Cornell West, Jamie Fox and Jesse Jackson to go 8 weeks without talking about race and show who these people really are and what they do – let’s say it over and over again. Their careers would be over and they know it – let’s attack that.
They’ll respond that of course we want to shut down a dialogue about race and we’ll say we want to shut down racism – show us the racism and not blithe innuendos and blanket accusations about white Americans or shut up. It’s 2011 and they invoke 1870 and 1950 and they are racists by any other name and it’s that simple. If you want your country back, it’s gonna be through the most difficult cultural mine field that exists in America today but we have to take up the challenge and have smart arguments.
Civilized man’s best friend. GOOD BOY!
Any hearing that has a result other than issuing a special commendation for the dog should earn the Senators involved a special mention come next election.
Frankly I feel that ANY U.S. politician speaking out about how we got OBL needs to be encouraged to find his way to the unemployment line, pronto.
I wonder if they’ll give the hero pooch the Navy Cross.
Since President Obama himself decided, in his always decisive way, that no gruesome photos of the late great Osama bin Laden will be released, how about photos of the pup? A few tasteful but cute Obama family shots with the pup and First Dog Bo playing gently in the rose garden would be worth at least half a point in the opinion polls.
Re: OVERSIGHT HEARING on “Stolen Identities: The Impact of Racist Stereotypes on Indigenous People”
I checked out the witness list and noticed the conspicuous absence of Ward Churchill’s name.
Will the story ever stop changing?
The problem with the original Bill Ayers version was that they left all those living people behind.
I guess the obamafools figgered they would maintain a respectful silence, in honor of our boy king’s brave, daring, and history-changing assassination mission.
I really like the dog story here.
One our top Navy SEALS is a dog. I am a dog person myself.
Go dogs.
