Libyan Freedom Fighters Woo Code Pink

In a startling show of their peaceful intentions to promote freedom and democracy, the Libyan Freedom Fighters (aka “Rebels”) have painted the tops of their tanks (as distinguished from their tank tops) and other vehicles pink. Although claiming that they did it “so NATO won’t hit us,” that is merely a thin veneer of truth to hide their obvious motive of winning the support of Code Pink and other warriors for peace.

The strike Thursday hit a rebel tank column as it advanced on the disputed oil port of Brega, causing a confused insurgent retreat back from Ajdabiya, gateway to the uprising’s stronghold in Benghazi.

NATO, which is enforcing a no-fly zone in Libya aimed at protecting civilians, on Friday acknowledged that its planes were probably responsible for the friendly fire incident, the second in a week. Officials noted that the alliance had no information that the rebels were now using tanks that once belonged to Moammar Gadhafi’s military.

Silent until now about the situation in Libya, and focusing if anything on our support for that rogue terrorist state Israel, the less than subtle efforts of the Libyan Freedom Fighters to bring the heroic folks of Code Pink into their struggle should be highly effective. Something had to be done, and this is obviously something.
