You can diss my home state all you want, but just remember, we’re still the place that produced this… and this… and this.
I know – but what have you done for us lately? Well, just remember, until June at least – these guys are still champs.

I’m a third generation native of the Golden State who plans on retiring as far from here as I can. The examples of accomplishment you provided are not recent, and most of the industries represented have largely moved out of the state.
We had a great thing going here, and we’ve squandered it.
Roger, please don’t forget the Giants. Even Woody Allen still misses them. Then again, I love Nolan Ryan and his Rangers…
California is drawing down on its capital. The real question is how much longer will it be possible? Europe is hitting it’s wall, California will too.
