Amazing video showing one of Gaddafi’s warplanes getting shot down in recent hours:
It’s not clear who made the direct hit (rebel forces with a SAM, presumably? There have been no reports yet of aerial dogfights against French or U.N. jets), but perhaps it signals a turning point in the momentum — Gaddafi may not have this wrapped up yet after all.
The video comes courtesy of Russia Today, a Russian news site.

A dogfight in modern air combat is about as likely as storming Tripoli with horse cavalry. We like to shoot the bad guys down with missiles from as far away as possible, preferably before they even know there are other jets in the sky.
The BBC is now saying that this was a rebel jet which was brought down by its own side in the confusion of the attack on Benghazi.
I didn’t even know the rebels had their own air force!
