Daily Beast Doubles Down on Stupid
FIFY
A gay man who dares to go where no other does. Deep into the moist areas of the hated Sarah Palin…! One mans quest to speak truth to genitalia. One man who dares to climb the Mons Pubis that no other dares to. One man who dares to risk coming face to face with a conservative woman’s queef….. Nice catch Daily Beast.
Might I assume that this is a step down for Andrew? I’m not familiar with this Daily Beast and I’ve wondered for some time why a supposedly respectable outfit like The Atlantic put up with his nonsense. I guess what I’m wondering is whether or not he got canned?
Ramblin’ Andy Sullivan is so low, he’d need a ladder to reach up to a snakes belly…. So there is no such thing as a step down for Andy…
for every Kaus, there must be a Sully to balance him.
Like so many others, Sullivan has fallen so deeply into the delusional lefty cool aid that he is only marginally connected to reality.
I guess from now on his water cooler debating opponent will be Meghan McCain rather than Megan McArdle.
I’ve had a theory that he’d become an embarrassment to the Atlantic of late, and that they’d just as soon have him off the masthead. I don’t think he was fired or anything, but I could easily imagine a scenario in which Sully responded to the editors’ gentle urgings by flying into a self-righteous snit and taking his “journalistic integrity” elsewhere.
If by “marginally connected to reality” you mean “bat-shit crazy”, I’d have to agree…
this is huge news. I canceled an 11 year subscription to The Atlantic because of the juvenilia posted by Sully. I don’t mind reading anything else that challenges my assumptions, but I do mind seeing my money support the sophomoric taunts and rants that Sullivan has devolved to over the past few years.
I will be very happy to renew my subscription to my once-favorite magazine.
And, by that single act, the average IQ of both institutions is raised.
Ode To Andrew Sullivan. ["Losing It" - RUSH]
The writer stares with glassy eyes
Defies the empty page
His beard is white, his face is lined
And streaked with tears of rage.
Thirty years ago, how the words would flow
With passion and precision,
But now his mind is dark and dulled
By sickness and indecision
And he stares out the kitchen door
Where the sun will rise no more…
Some are born to move the world
To live their fantasies
But most of us just dream about
The things we’d like to be
Sadder still to watch it die
Than never to have known it
For you, the blind who once could see
The bell tolls for thee…

If Andrew throws himself a pity party\beg-a-thon while working for TDB, does he have to split the take?
