In order to keep White House meetings with lobbyists off the official White House Visitors log, Obama White House staff have been secretly hosting hundreds of meetings with lobbyists in a separate executive building off of Lafayette Square near the White House.

In a short but stunning article Politico’s Chris Frates, he writes, “It allows the Obama administration to keep these lobbyist meetings shielded from public view — and out of Secret Service logs kept on visitors to the White House and later released to the public.”

Therefore in one single swoop, the President is found violating his signature promise for openness, his promise for transparency, and his promise to keep stay away from lobbyists.
