Latest on Logan assault: Crowd chanted ‘Jew! Jew!’

From today’s Post:

“60 Minutes” correspondent Lara Logan was repeatedly sexually assaulted by thugs yelling, “Jew! Jew!” as she covered the chaotic fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo’s main square Friday, CBS and sources said yesterday.

A network source told The Post that her attackers were screaming, “Jew! Jew!” during the assault. And the day before, Logan had told Esquire.com that Egyptian soldiers hassling her and her crew had accused them of “being Israeli spies.” Logan is not Jewish.

Conservatives have been pessimistic about this revolution based on the gathered evidence regarding the cultural norms of Egypt. The anti-Semitic, anti-Israel plague in this society will affect this revolution’s outcome. It affected its eruption as well — the dictator Mubarak was seen as an Israeli stooge.

Forget the romantic notions of this being a democratic, liberty-first revolution, and talk about it. Because it’s the truth.

And keep Logan and her family in your thoughts.

Education should not have to be this difficult.

I know it seems harsh, because it is harsh. Either Ms. Logan should have known, or her bosses should have known, that putting a woman in that position in the midst of a bunch of hostile Muslim men was not something that should be done.

They didn’t know that. Anyone with have a brain would have known that.

Like I say, education is harsh. It’s terrible that Ms. Logan and her family have to pay the price tag for educating a bunch of people on that which has been known for many hundreds of years.

Good grief didn’t she have some kind of security detail with her? What in the world could she have been thinking? The world is not a very friendly place regardless of what Barry says; people are not hanging out, taking bong hits and singing about peace and love. When you send an obvious infidel and a woman to boot into a hostile crowd of Muslim men you’d better have a security detail and a damn good one. The report I’ve read is that she was gang raped. I wonder if her opinion of Muslims will change now that she has been the subject of an attack by Islamic radicals.
