Most would agree that my colleague Paul Krugman’s remarks last weekend were perhaps a little over-the-top, even intemperate. But surely his column today can be read as a heartfelt apology to anyone who might have taken unintended offense.

It took me a second or two longer than it should have too, LOL! Actually, it took wading through the entire Krugman column, an exercise which I will choose to regard as a salutary triumph of will over inclination.
