President Barack Obama’s past continues to haunt him. A friend e-mailed me this revealing post by Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr., pastor of The Exodus Faith Ministries in Chesapeake, Virginia. Bishop Jackson wrote it last June, but I have not seen it circulated or mentioned before now. Now, someone found it and put it on their own blog.
Like so many of us, Bishop Jackson describes himself as once a leftist Democrat; an African-American who grew up in a black urban community in Pennsylvania, and a man who is disturbed about what he calls “a strain of anti-Semitism in the black community.”
Bishop Jackson is also a Harvard Law School graduate, and evidently, was aware of Barack Obama during the year of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan’s “Million Man March.” He asks the following question: “The question is whether Obama, given his Muslim roots and experience in Farrakhan’s Chicago, shares this antipathy for Israel and Jewish people. Is there any evidence that he does?” This is the Bishop’s considered answer:
First, the President was taught for twenty years by a virulent anti-Semite, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. In the black community it is called “sitting under”. You don’t merely attend a church, you “sit under” a Pastor to be taught and mentored by him. Obama “sat under” Wright for a very long time. He was comfortable enough with Farrakhan and Wright’s friend to attend and help organize his “Million Man March”. I was on C-Span the morning of the march arguing that we must never legitimize a racist and anti-Semite, no matter what “good” he claims to be doing. Yet a future President was in the crowd giving Farrakhan his enthusiastic support.
The Pastor continues to argue that he thinks today President Obama holds the “classic left-wing view” that “Israel is the oppressive occupier, and the Palestinians are Israel’s victims.” He continues:
In speaking to the “Muslim World,” he did not address the widespread Islamic hatred of Jews. Instead he attacked Israel over the growth of West Bank settlements. Surely he knows that settlements are not the crux of the problem. The absolute refusal of the Palestinians to accept Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state is the insurmountable obstacle. That’s where the pressure needs to be placed, but this President sees it differently. He also made the preposterous comparison of the Holocaust to Palestinian “dislocation”.

Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr. really hasn’t said anything particularly new to me. I figured all it for myself out over eighteen months ago. This is merely the rational conclusion anyone should arrive at after modestly studying the background of Barack Obama. I repeatedly warned people that he almost certainly considered Israel as an imperialist nation crapping on the so-called Palestinian victims. Furthermore, It was quit clear that Obama has unresolved issues with white people—and would stick it good and hard to them whenever he got the chance. This somewhat explains his hostility towards capitalism. He perceives it as “white man’s” economics.
Barack Obama would not have attended Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s church for twenty years unless he and the pastor were ideological soul mates. One simply does not listen to crazy sermons on a regular basis if they so dramatically conflict with their own worldview. This is especially true if your children are also in attendance! Why have so many people conveniently overlooked this harsh fact? Who in their right mind would subject their sons and daughters to the madness of a Rev. Wight? Come on, does that make any sense?
The fact that a majority of voting Americans went to the polls and elected this guy proves two things :
1) Blacks are allowed and expected to be racist against whites
2) Blacks and liberals have no problem echoing the hatred of Jews that both Hitler and his heirs in Islamic countries spread.
If there is anyone in the black community who would like to deny this, then they had better start speaking up or else these two things will be settled facts in the minds of a majority of Americans, something that will have terrible effects on black folks before long. If and when it does, they will no longer be able to blame racism since they themselves have given their approval to racism. They’ll have to find something else to blame, like, themselves for a change.
Regards
Great article!
I also agree with the comments; Obama has made it impossible for any other black man to ever run for president again (well, maybe LTC West in Florida); he is racist, his rage is becoming more visible, and anyone who can sit in a racist church of Jeremiah Wright; that in itself speaks volumes.
As they say: “Tell me, who you associate with, and I tell you who you are!” (Bible)
Obama attended Wright’s church, perhaps sporadically, for the reason he did everything in Chicago — to get his Black Street Creds. No more.
He was raised and mentored by the black communist, self-admitted bi-sexual and pedophile Frank Marshall Davis.
He is a wannabe 60s/70s radical with no grounding in Western history and culture, and only God knows who, if anyone, pulls his strings.
First of all obama did not go to the million man march. Secondly any christian with that mindset for anti-semitic view needs to denouce christianity because if you look at jesus life with a microscope. He spoke against the jews for there wicked ways. John 8:44. I think obama did something to him at harvard an he’s being resentful.
Speaking of black pastors, listen to some sermons of James David Manning.
(he’s brutal on the subject of Barack Obama but also on other phenomena such as excuse making inside the black community)
Here he is speaking after a chilling visit from some agencies of the United States federal government to his Harlem church.
James David Manning
the validity of a fringe theory requires that the methodology of proof reveal sound and logical evidence which is unfalsifiable, free of projection and paranoia
…exclusively flocking with birds of one feather for 20+ years is NOT a clustering of illusions, but a factual, relevant and obvious concern.
Ron,
Obama’s involvement in the Million Man March is worthy of note as is his relationship with Jeremiah Wright.
But you didn’t have to be a supporter of Farrakham to see value in the march. It might have been unwise to get involved in anything that Farrakhan was organizing but that isn’t the same as being a supporter of Farrakhan’s anti-semitism.
Michael Ignatieff, the leader of Canada’s Liberal party said that he participated in anti-Vietnam protests organized by people whose politics he did not share.
He also supported the invasion of Iraq.
Barack Obama is not only associated with Wright and the Million Man March or Khalidi. He is closely associated with Emanuel and Axelrod and to focus on the one without the other is just plain misleading.
The American Right-Wing is outwardly more closely associated with the mentality of Hitler than any other ‘mainstream’ political leanings in the country.
However, in the final analysis.. at their cores, the Republican and Democratic parties are different sides of the same coin. They both are rich manipulators of the mass working drones who protect their sponsors’ monetary interests by any means at their displosal. This includes shamelessly utilizing the lives and deaths of patriotic young Americans who make up our armed forces for protecting the financial assets and gains of a relatively few 10%. Mr. Obama like Mr. Bush before him are no more than figure heads who will not venture too far beyond the fense.
The liberal vs conservative / Republican vs Democrat pesudo public argument broadly speaking, is and has been political theater.. a charade and distraction for the dumb masses who identify with either side of the ‘game’.
#2 – Thanks rashputin. Well put. And once again thank you to the indispensible treasure who is Mr Radosh.
Do not forget that Michelle Obama sat in those foul pews, as well. There is a reaason she stated, “For the first time in my life, I’m proud to be an American.” When was the last time YOU, or anyone you know, said anything remotely like that? That was a huge Red Flag. That should have been the end of the Obama campaign.
To put it into perspective, what if Cindy McCain had said that? What a huge firestorm that would be! Actually, the mind boggles at trying even to conceive of her saying such a thing.
The Obama’s are racists, through and through.
I do not agree that Obama’s indecisiveness and wrong-headed policy on the Middle East stems from that factor; I suspect it has more to do with the influence on him of former friends like Rashid Khalidi and the milieu of both left-wing Chicago and radical black nationalism that he was part of for many years.
That’s a tempting suspicion, though it’s been said that Obama’s exposure to left wing Jews like Rahm Emmanuel, Abner Mikva and J-Street types has shaped his views on the Mideast more than his contact with radicals like Ayers, Wright and Khalidi.
Obama is an orthodox left winger. Nothing he has done since he has been president has surprised me. His worldview and the narratives he has internalized are those of the cultural, political and religious left wing. To be sure, he’s a politician and somewhat concerned with electoral politics, but he seems intent on radically reshaping American policy in most areas, including our relationship with Israel.
An interesting analysis, Rashputin. I’m afraid you’re right way too often. I’m not sure they are committed anti-Semites as much as ‘well, its easy to do’ anti-Semites for many of them.
I also liked your analysis on the other thread about AGW and evolution. The AGW people have a very long way to go to catch up in terms of monies wasted, and frauds committed as do the Darwinists.
There are some awesome black Conservative real Americans around now days.

There is at least some good (and God) in this world
Anti-semitism is a fundamental tenet of the Black Muslim Brotherhood.
Reverent Wright, through his church’s newsletter, bestowed an honorific on Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan has somewhat toned down his antisemitic rants in recent years, at least publicly, but you can rest assured antisemitism is still a central tenet of the Muslim Brotherhood, domestically as well as internationally.
A victim of prostate cancer, crazy Louis’latest claim is something to the effect that prostate cancer is a tool of white oppresssion, reminiscent of JWright’s claim about the white man intentionally inflicting AIDS on the black man.
(For the record, although it is interesting that Janet Napolitano and “the feds” apparently saw fit to visit Reverend Manning’s Harlem church, Manning himself, unfortunately, goes a little off the rails towards the end of the video linked above. Some of his other sermons/rants are better.)
Give President Obama his due. I am not one of his fans, and am disgusted by the way the press serves as his cheerleader. In his Cairo speech, he unequivocally condemned anti-Semitism, and told the Arab world that any progress must depend on their giving up their pathological hatred of Jews. This took courage on his part, whatever the other shortcomings in the man or the speech — and their were many, including bought into several anti-Jewish themes, including his pertpetuating the myth of Israel as an alien European presence foisted on a blameless middle east out of European guilt for the holocaust.
Tanstaafl: *******crazy Louis’latest claim is something to the effect that prostate cancer is a tool of white oppresssion*****
Tanstaafl with respect, I find that a lot of blog commentors make thing up (lie) to make their arguments. Did you make this one up or do you mind providing a quote and/or source for this? I would like to verify it. Thanks.
“In his Cairo speech, he unequivocally condemned anti-Semitism, and told the Arab world that any progress must depend on their giving up their pathological hatred of Jews.”
Barack Obama is not consciously an anti-Semite. On the contrary, his feelings are probably hurt when hearing such accusations. He is existentially nonetheless committed to the leftist perspective claiming that both the United States and Israel victimize the dark skin people of the world. It’s something the president unthinkingly takes for granted. Obama was born and raised in a very left-wing milieu. He knows nothing else. The man has also never revealed any intellectual curiosity that might prompt him to reexamine the beliefs of his childhood. Obama, for all practical purposes, is a 48-year-old man who has yet to reach the educational maturity of someone in their early 20s. Well, why should anyone be surprised? Affirmative action grading has been the norm for over 40 years! He obviously never had to earn his way at Harvard.
What to Obama’s connections and Climategate have in common?
The only people who are surprised are the ones who weren’t paying attention.
# 13 David, I’ve read some of your other post in other parts of PJM and have disagreed with you at times and I don’t post very often but WOW, I think you got this one exactly right.
Obama’s devotion to his “Muslim faith” was never more poignantly shown than in the recorded conversation with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos interview when Obama mistakenly stated in reference to whether or not McCain would criticize him for his “Muslim faith” – then G.S. said “you mean your Christian faith” and Obama said, oh yes, my Christian faith. On the National Day of Prayer dutifully honored by former presidents appeared trivilal to our loser president who golfed that day…stating that all could observe the traditionally sacred day in America by a “moment of silence” sometime around 3:00 p.m. One can only wonder if Obama bowed his head on the green. Moreover, his daughters have been raised with no presents at birthdays or Christmas leading Obama’s oldest to say in a People Magazine article with Mrs. Obama that “well, there must be a Santa Claus ’cause my parents would never give me all that stuff.” Out of the mouths of babes comes truth. Is this not an Islamic custom of the oldest kind? The Bush-haters can say what they may – at least Mr. Bush read his Bible every night and prayed with his wife as couples should. I doubt there’s a prayer rug at Camp David’s chapel big enuf to get the Obama’s together on their knees. The question remains as to why the Obama’s have not chosen a local Washington church. Is is perhaps they don’t wish to be accountable?
Pelaut (#4) may have a future in historical fiction, because he writes under the delusion that Obama “was raised and mentored by the black communist, self-admitted bi-sexual and pedophile Frank Marshall Davis” as if was true. Davis did not raise or mentor Obama, nor was Davis was not a self-admitted bi-sexual and pedophile. These allegations are pure disinformation.
Here we have redbaiting, race-baiting, and now crime-baiting, where Davis is misrepresented in the creation of a straw man through which Obama is easy to attack through guilt-by-association. This disinformation campaign, spearheaded by AIM’s Cliff Kincaid, fits the pattern where Nazis misrepresented the Jews, the Bush administration misrepresented the Iraqi threat, and now conservatives disgracefully, despicably, and deliberately misrepresent Frank Marshall Davis, all to justify their attacks on Barack Obama with false accusations.
You may be interested in this cordial exchange between myself and Max Friedman, Cliff Kincaid’s researcher: http://pajamasmedia.com/phyllischesler/2009/05/31/judge-sonia-sotomayor-and-singing-sensation-susan-boyle/#comment-13017. Only the last group of comments pertain to this situation. Please note that Max agreed to follow through with Cliff Kincaid regarding the specific misrepresentation I had identified in June. Not a peep was heard from him since then.
“The way to combat noxious ideas is with other ideas. The way to combat falsehoods is with truth.” – William O. Douglas
What amazes me is why the American Jews voted for this man with such a large margin even though his past clearly shows he couldn’t careless about Israel??.
Calvin Ball, your message is so true. That’s why I post under the name I do. I was one of the ones paying attention.
Exactly. The issues and questions raised in this piece are among a laundry list of those that have never been looked into. Hence, all we are left with are theories and connecting dots. The media has not done their job and the American public, for the most part, have allowed themselves to remain uneducated and unaware. That, or they agree with Obama’s anti-Semitic views. Either way, it’s pretty bad.
Ron–
Can you pursue Obama’s involvement in the Million Man March? This is a significant news story. Is he really a Farrakhan sympathizer?
The argument goes: 0bama can’t be a racist because he is half white.
Followed by: If you don’t like 0bama and you’re white, you’re a racist.
So, only whites can be racists and 0bama is half white.
Oh noes!
Perhaps this is the answer for the Obamanations RACIST hatred for whites and maybe what drew him to the Ex???? Muslim RACIST Black Supremacist teachings of Jeremiah Wright in the first place. His disgust at the dissolute life his mother lived bed hopping from Communist RACIST Black man to Communist RACIST Black man and posing for pornography on the way and also HER rejection of him. He has many other parallels with Hitler antisemitism being but one of them and they were both FOREIGN BORN USURPERS.
‘Hitler’s hatred was ‘driven by grief over the death of his mother’

Also let’s remember that while in Sudan Blacks are being massacred by the thousands every year, that in Mauritania they are still being enslaved Obama (and Hrrakan) has never seemd concerbed by their fate. He is only concerned by those who have publicly told they want to exterminate the Jews.
Why we should not allow Blacks to give us moral guidance. Only 13% of the population of the USA is Black but they commit 59% of the VIOLENT crimes. A Black man is statistically TEN TIMES more likely to commit murder than a WHITE guy. The most common cause of death for Blacks under 30 y.o.is MURDER by another BLACK.
And don’t forget 96% of Blacks voted for Obama and 92% STILL support him now.
Bet the MSM never tells you that hey.
Why we should not allow Left Wing PC MC Islamophile moonbats and Mohammedans to give us moral guidance. Because THEY have no morals.
Are you ready for this USA after all its what you MOONBATS voted for.
Obama Orders 1 Million US Troops To Prepare For Civil War
The European Union Times reports that Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to “begin immediately” increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.
According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks “numerous” meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a “last ditch gambit” whose success is “far from certain”.
And to Obama’s “last ditch gambit,” these reports continue, he is to announce in a nationwide address to his people this coming week that he is going to expand the level of US Military Forces in Afghanistan by tens of thousands of troops, while at the same time using the deployment of these soldiers as a “cover” for returning to the United States over 200,000 additional American soldiers from the over 800 bases in over 39 countries they have stationed around the Globe bringing the level of these forces in America to over 1 million, a number the US Military believes will be able to contain the “explosion of violence” expected to roil these peoples when they learn their economy has been bankrupted.
The Times ends their article with this:
What remains to be seen, and these reports do not speculate upon, is if the citizen-soldiers of the United States will fire upon and kill their fellow countrymen during the coming conflict, but if history is to be our guide clearly shows this will be the case as the once great American Nation continues its headlong plunge into the abyss of history. May God have mercy upon all of them.
Lots more on the Obamanation here.

How ridiculous and self-hating it is for Jeremiah Wrong and his boy Buraq Hussein to be anti-Israel and call it a “racist” nation, since the Jewish state is the only country in the Middle East where blacks are actually regarded as human beings.
If Rev. Wrong, just like self-hater Jesse Jackson, regards mahoundian arabs as “brothers in arms” in a shared sense of “victimhood” caused by “evil Zionist-Christian white capitalists”, I wonder what would happen if he decided to learn more about how arabs and islam treat black people. Mohammedanism the only “religion” on the planet that actually reserves a position of inferiority for black people, regardless of whether or not they’re mahoundians. Here, here, here and here are some examples of how it is so.
And, just so that we can once again remind ourselves of how hollow Buraq Arafat Saddam Hussein Osama’s following words in his surrender speech at Al-Azhar “University”, “And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality” truly ring, here’s an additional excerpt on the topic of mahoundian racism against blacks from Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s autobiography Infidel:
“All the girls at madrassah were white; I thought of them as white, and myself, for the first time, as black. They called Haweya (her sister) and I Abid, which meant slaves. Being called a slave – the racial prejudice this term conveyed – was a big part of what I hated in Saudi Arabia.”
I doubt seriously that a Harvard educated individual would espouse such silly views, even if he believed them. Either the report is a lie, the pastor is being influenced by outside sources–and that happen more than one would think, esp. among Af. Am. ministers–or he’s totally lost connection with the Black community and our values and beliefs.
…
There is, allow me to acknowledge, a widespread view in the Black community that whites discriminate. Why this generalized view should be focused on Jews in particular is the mystery.
…
Trolls frequently bait African Americans, attempting to illicit anti Semitic sentiments. This, later, to be used to combine the world view of Blacks with terrorists. If trolls are behind this, then the base idea of planting seeds of hatred is merely a reflection of the twisted minds that originated the report.
Perhaps Pastor Jackson and Pastor Manning can get together and educate Black Americans about Mr 0bama. I am glad to see that there are some Black Pastors willing to speak out and preach the truth about Mr 0bama.
#13 David: “The man has also never revealed any intellectual curiosity that might prompt him to reexamine the beliefs of his childhood. Obama, for all practical purposes, is a 48-year-old man who has yet to reach the educational maturity of someone in their early 20s.”
That, is a very astute point. Your next line is what I have observed and, very obviously, the reason why there are no transcripts available. It would not surprise me if his grades didn’t match Bush’s. Wouldn’t that be a kick in the head?
As narcissistic as oBOWma is, he would be trumpeting his grades around to each and every press conference.
21.. I read this was attributed to he EUT, but came from American
Resistance Radio. Is there such a thing?
I do not trust Obama. Everyone says..”prepare” how do you repare for a dishonest president, and a collapsing ecomonic system.
bama would not have attended Wright’s church, taken his babies to that chrch, if he did not agree with what was being taught. The MSM let him slide on saying he never herd those type things . such lies from this man!
Whatever happened to the “lost” videotape from the LA Times of BHO at Rashid Khalidi’s tribute dinner????
Wow, such racism on display here. First of all Rev. Wright has not taught anti-Semitism in his church nor would he allow it. If you can provide evidence of such I would appreciate it. I grew up listening to the Rev. and have several friends who attend his church and none of us has ever heard any anti-Semitism. These allegations come from people who have never set foot in his church or even know where it is.
@19 I disagree with your statistics because it is 59% who are convicted of violent crimes, how many murders and violent crimes are never solved? I’m sure these stats would normalize if crimes were actually solved and some people are not even guilty but that’s another subject for another time.
@ David Thompson, your racism is blatant as you assume Mr. Obama is not intelligent enough to have earned his grades even though his fellow law school classmates elected him to the law review. I agree with your AA allegations but I submit the last president was the beneficiary of this type of grading. I should have known this would be a racist article with racist comments when it had to be pointed out a “Black” pastor speaks out and not just a pastor.
One day we will be judged by the content of our characters but just not right now huh?
Hm, previous comment didn’t get included wonder why. Well to attempt to reiterate what my previous comment stated I listened to Rev. Wright growing up and have many friends who attend his church and have NEVER heard any anti-Semitism whatsoever. I wonder if those who are ridiculing him have ever been to his church. Next, the president was attacked as being afforded his education due to affirmative action, as if he wasn’t intelligent enough to have earned his grades. He was voted president of the law review by his fellow law students so his peers must think he is smart and dynamic enough to represent them. In reality the previous president probably benefitted from AA more than anyone else. Lastly I knew where this article was going due to the fact that it had to be pointed out that a “Black” pastor spoke out. One day we shall be judged by the content of our character, just not today.
The first thing you need to know about Obama is that he lies as easy as he breathes. Next he was abandoned by his father to white people in a distinctly non-African region of the world and eventually his mother abandoned him to her parents or more precisely her mother. The grandfather was weird enough to name his daughter Stanley because he wanted a son instead of a daughter. It goes on and on but he smiles too much for me to believe he is not hiding a dual nature. It now is obvious he is dissatisfied by much of the status quo and it would not be too far fetched to believe the seeds of this were sown in his upbringing. He is certainly the only father I have ever heard of that does not want his kids getting Christmas gifts other than maybe an active drug addict or someone of another nation with a different faith tradition . He is not trustworthy and is not on the side of normal. The country will be lucky to survive this President and Congress.
When even a Black RACIST buffoon like Jesse Jackson starts calling out the WON then you know its getting really bad for the HOAX and CHANGE peddler. Blacks are also asking where are the Jobs, Houses, Free Food and Free Gas you PROMISED us.
JACKSON: He essentially owns more and more. When Bush left office there were 30,000 troops in Afghanistan. We’re now going to a hundred thousand, so we kind of own the Afghanistan mission. We bailed out the banks. We kind of own a plan now where you have more foreclosures than you do have modifications. We’re losing jobs by the droves. Unemployment levels are disastrously high. We are the canary in the mine. We’re on the front side of its pain and the backside of its prosperity. Urban America is black, but Appalachia basically is white. We must not be seen as marginal America.
“His many years as a congregant of Rev. Jeremiah Wright continue to raise questions”
Your rhetoric is sadly dated. After more than a year of “raising questions”, how about just writing down what your questions are and letting someone answer them? Or would you rather not pose the questions at all, so you can can claim that they “remain unanswered”?
Obama was / is a fairly straightforward candidate. He said what he wanted to do, and he’s doing it (never before have so many people failed to understand the word “mandate”). He knew some people with objectionable histories – that’s all you’ve got on him. You keep stretching it, trying to make it fit a vast conspiracy theory, but your material is full of holes.
Stop relying on the posters to answer your dog whistle and just spell it out – what do YOU think rev wright says about obama? Are you saying he’s an anti-semite? That he hates white america? If so, then just say so. Cut it with the scary music.
Pragmatist: “We bailed out the banks”
No, bush bailed out the banks. Obama signed a stimulus package. They’re two different things.
America will pull through, like it or not. The jobless figures will be down by the next presidential election (and the healthcare program will be well under way). I know that’s bad news for obama haters, but there it is – he’s going to win the next election AND have accomplished something worthwhile.
The jobless figures will be down by the next presidential
That is they will go down from 30 to 25% in the six months before election. In case they seem to be unwilling to go down, collection of unemployment statistics will be handled to Acorn.
BTW, the executive can bail out nothing. Tell us now which Congress bailed out the banks.
Matthew: You’re right, there was a difference between the bailouts and the stimulus: the bailouts worked.
Matthew, put down the Kool-aid.
“Obama was / is a fairly straightforward candidate.”
Well, I’ve got to give you that one. He started out saying he wouldn’t run for President right away, ’cause the people if Illinois had sent him to the Senate to do something or other, etc. He was, of course, just kidding.
Then he said he was going to accept public financing, and – whoop! Just kidding again! At which point he began to raise funds fraudulently by disabling the verification on his site’s credit-card processing system.
His entire campaign progressed in this manner – so yes, he’s been pretty straightforward – as long as perpetual dishonesty is considered straightforward.
“He knew some people with objectionable histories..” M, that describes most of those who raised him, and most if not all of those who associate with him now. There is only one reasonable inference to glean from this. An analogy: if someone has one friend who’s racist, it’s unfair to assume anything because of it. If 90% that person’s friends are racist, would you still grant the benefit of the doubt?
“No, Bush bailed out the banks. Obama signed a stimulus package. They’re two different things.” Child, what was Obama’s vote on TARP again? And that stimulus money has accomplished…what, exactly? I haven’t seen any of it, but then my congressional district actually exists.
Pilotx: The same simplistic thinking that automatically considers criticism of Israel to be “anti-Semitic” may also automatically consider criticism of Obama to be “racist.” Some are so eager to play the “race card” that they seem to ignore the inconvenient truth that many Jews criticize Israel just as many blacks criticize Obama.
Thankfully, most people seem to be more intelligent than that.
The same simplistic thinking that automatically considers criticism of Israel to be “anti-Semitic” may also automatically consider criticism of Obama to be “racist.
In case of Israel it is really antisemitism. In case you haven’t noticed a Palestinian killed by an Israeli soldierwhen he was trying to bomb a maternity is an atrocity, 100 children hacked in Darfur is barely worth a a yawn. Or is it because for those people who tell us they aren’t antisemitism, they are just a bunch of Niggers?
The “Identity Card”:
At the next level of abstraction, a clear pattern emerges: When a person or sub-group is criticized, defenders may deceptively claim that the criticism is motivated by hostility towards the main group instead of being a reaction to actions by the overt target. They may attempt to invalidate criticism by playing an “identity card.” They misdirect criticism (wittingly or unwittingly) from the target’s actions to the target’s identity:
- When a black is criticized for his behavior, defenders may misrepresent the criticism as having anti-black motivation (race-bating).
- When Israel is criticized for its behavior, defenders may misrepresent the criticism as having anti-Semitic motivation.
- When Muslims are criticized for their behavior, defenders may misrepresent the criticism as having anti-Islamic motivation
- When a homosexual is criticized for his behavior, defenders may misrepresent the criticism as having homophobic motivation
- When a woman is criticized for her behavior, defenders may misrepresent the criticism as having sexist motivation
Intellectual honesty deserves better!
Siloh #16…a bit late in responding to your inquiry, but here is a link.
From my perspective, such an observation is entirely in keeping with the character (or lack thereof) of Slick Louis.
Louis Farrakhan called prostate cancer a “conspiracy to kill black men.”
JFM wrote “In case of Israel it is really antisemitism.”
Au contraire. Wikipedia has a decent summary of various anti-Zionist organizations that are not anti-Semitic, including some Jewish anti-Semitic organizations:
- Neturei Karta
- International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN)
- Jews not Zionists
Clearly, anti-Semitism is different from Anti-Zionism. To misrepresent speculation as fact is dishonest.
Merry Christmas!
