For Obama and the Left, ‘Scared’ Is the New ‘Angry’
For many of us, forty may be the new thirty and fifty the new forty, but for Barack Obama “scared” is the new “angry.”
As if channeling Dr. Phil or some other shoot-from-the-hip television shrink, our president is now barnstorming the country, telling us the voters are “scared” and not thinking clearly.
“People are still hurting very badly, and they are still scared. And so part of the reason our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we’re hard-wired not to always think clearly when we’re scared,” Obama said at a Democratic fundraiser Sunday in Boston. “And the country is scared, and they have good reason to be.”
Talk about misdiagnosis! The voters aren’t scared. They are angry. Mad as Hell, in fact. They are angry at his policies and the way those policies have been rammed down their throats –and they have a right to be. That’s why citizens — who have never done anything like that before — have organized all over the country and are on the brink of destroying his party at the ballot box.
Now the question remains, why is “scared” the new “angry” for Obama? Is he just throwing (obfuscating) mud at the wall in a moment of electoral panic or is there some sort of plan or attitude behind it?
I lean toward the latter and here’s why: The accusation that their opponents are “scared” has become the default position of the left. A prime example, as many realize, is the word Islamophobia. It is a deliberate misnomer, imputing “fear” to people who dislike or even despise the ideology of Islam for whatever reason. (Institutionalized misogyny might be a good one.)
Of course, the deeper intent in accusing your opposition of being “scared” is to defuse it. An ancillary benefit is to avoid discussing the issues, which in the current situation Obama and his allies are doing their level bests to avoid.
Finally, we have to ask whether Obama actually believes what he is saying — that we are all trembling neurotics afraid of the future. All I can say to that is, if he does, he is a fool.

Maybe it’s nothing more than projection. Our President is probably terrified right now.
I have another question about is our President’s odd choice of words. Why does he use the Slurpee story in every speech? Is Slurpee-drinking code for Southerner? 7-11 sells them, and the chain started in Texas. ICEE, the developer of the Slurpee, is based in Southern California.
Yes, I think you are right. Southerner, rignt-winger, uneducated, unsophisticated, etc.
it’s mainly because he can’t use “kool aid!” democrats have that trade marked already! LOL!
Perhaps there is method in his madness.
Assume, from experience with him and his team since accession to the power seats that what you see is not what you get. Or what you hear is not what is meant.
Where is that Obama of yore with the mellifluous tones and ringing oratory. This display is that of a navel-gazing 12 year old. Regressed from the adolescent know-it-all : what are and how to “fix” all the woes of the world. Very impressive in the sophomore dorm.
But it looks as if we’re stuck with this man-child for a number of years.
The other part of the picture is that the white knight waiting in the wings is exactly the same power obsessive with designs to CHANGE the USA, as this destructive man-child.
Could DNC have presented this man-child as stalking horse for the saviour mama, Hillary Clinton, who was unacceptable for a variety of reasons to large numbers of voters. To clear the field for her.
To clean up the mess made by the “Democratic” destructive child, bring in big mama ?
Big mama who first tried to get the “healthcare” mandate during her loving spouses adminstration just before the Millenium. Big mama who loves all her children of the USA that those who do not obey her wishes, her desires for their good, she dismisses as “that vast right-wing conspiracy”.
Big mama now given the beauty treatment for renewed seduction of the lover she so desires: POWER.
POWER over the lives of those ignorant, vulgar, racist, sexist, redneck, white, nazi, dumb, astroturf, redstate Americans. Including those she actually hates because of their disobedience to her wishes, who “stole the election of the Millenium” from her “Democratic” Party. Whose candidate was that paragon of intelligence, reason, probity and charm, Al Gore.
There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
BEWARE the “Democratic Party of the USA, and their allies, the RINOs.
Today America, Tomorrow the world.
More on the Slurpee – it was developed in Kansas and the first distributor was in Louisiana. I think it’s code for fat, rural, white right winger. Thoughts?
I can think of no better way to celebrate on November 3rd than with a Slurpee. If the results come in early enough, perhaps one with a little Grey Goose added (the perfect drink for a redneck like me who went to an elite school).
Please, LeighB, don’t ruin the Grey Goose!! Use some Stoly. . . . May I also suggest a shot of Chopin. . . .no mixer?
OK…I promise not to ruin the Grey Goose, Stoly it is. Hope you will have one too, let’s raise a Stoly-Slurpee in support of the lefties who will be looking for a new job! (Pelosi sure is going to miss her special airplane)
I will do it. . . . .or maybe a nice cold gin and tonic?
Obama’s just continuing to insult the voters without simply coming out and calling us “stupid.” Even by liberal standards, Obama is insufferably patronizing.
Obama doen’t need to call the average, well-informed voter stupid. He’s got attempted-tax cheat John Kerry to do that for him.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2596605/posts
Patronizing, maybe a bit understated! He is an elitist and we should swoon at the sound of his voice.

Scared? Hmmmm. Let me think about this for a minute.
Am I scared that we are staring down both barrels of what appears to be $119 trillion dollars in debt?
Am I scared that rank incompetence and a predilection against old allies has placed Israel in an untenable position, being now outflanked by the leftist haters in Europe, the murderous intent in Iran and now, the likes of Robert Malley and this administration surrounding them?
Am I scared that we have not just this administration, but apparently the whole of the leadership of the Democratic Party that believes it can ignore the Constitution at its whim, that it really isn’t that important of a document?
Am I scared that against our will, this administration and its allies in the Party have flaunted the rules and regulations put in place for the orderly passage of legislation and instead replaced it with meetings in the dark of night?
Am I scared that “czars” who are truthers and Communists and Mao admirers are being “appointed” to circumvent those very same protections, checks and balances, rules and regulations which we all agreed would be the guideposts for how we self-govern this land of ours?
Am I scared that the Department of Justice ignores armed thugs at polling places, refuses to enforce the laws of the land, allows our military men and women to be denied fair access to our voting process and allows states to have their voting rolls be bastardized with impunity?
Am I scared that there has been a seizure of the auto industry and that the laws regarding bankruptcy preferences forced upon all other creditors ahead in line in order to grant favoritism to unions?
Am I scared that our own federal government not only sued one of our states, but turned them into the U.N. for investigation into human rights violations, for wanting to secure their borders?
Am I scared that our information stream has been ransacked and that journolistas meet in secret to demand fealty to one Party, to distort the facts, to call people racist for no reason?
Am I scared that the jobless “recovery” has all the appearances of a sham, that the unemployment rate is going up, not down and that entitlements, unfunded pensions, and other leftist giveaways are swallowing are largest states whole?
Am I scared that we have an administration that believes that “you have earned enough” at some point, that we need to take money from some and “redistribute” it at their whim to others?
Again, let me think about all this. Am I scared? I don’t know if I would say I’m scared, but I can tell you this…my instincts are honed, my focus has not been clearer or sharper, my senses are on alert. I am engaged.
I’m no longer worried about apathy or inertia. I’m outside my comfort zone.
Am I scared? Well, scared enough not to sit on my ass and do nothing. I got up off the couch and I’m ready for action. So, go ahead. Call me scared. And stupid. And bitter.
I’m scared sufficiently to stand up now…and say…”Enough”.
Good post.
Scared? Let’s put it this way. I used to think of Washington DC as one big Star Wars bar scene. Now it looks more like something from an H.P. Lovecraft novel.
For sure I’m scared. And it has made me very, very angry.
Two weeks, people.
Yes, this is the point. The two emotions are quite close. Being scared creates anger as a means of generating energy to rectify the situation. Experiencing anger can call our attention that there is a threat that must be addressed.
Arguing whether a large population is scared or angry is pointless. The two emotions fluctuate and reinforce each other.
Brilliant. BTW I heard Robert Reich on taxpayer-supported not-fair-and-balanced NPR opining how in the Depression there was a lot of fear. Back then he said, this resulted in anti-trade and anti-Jewish sentiment. Now he says our fear is manifesting itself in anti-trade and anti-Moslem sentiment. So, yeah, I suspect “there is a plan” behind the Prez’s comments. The talking points have been distributed to the usual mouthpieces. Expect to hear more of this. And, for the record, I am scared AND angry.
Well said, CFB.
We’re fools not to be frightened that America has arrived to Germany, late 1938.
On top of the collapsing economy =:o bama is creating more than one race war with which he can lock his handlers’ control of the nation. Whites vs. Blacks, Whites vs. Muslims, Whites vs. Hispanics. But take Asians, white Hispanics, white ‘minorities’ like Jews, Ukranians, whosis-Stanis, etc., etc., all that’s left is ME — and I’m not even Anglo-Saxon. You bet I’m scared. The President, who has an army of millions, is after me!
All Socialist/Marxist/etc. regimes so far have gone ballistic when the ‘stupid’ masses didn’t go along with the unnatural schemes their superior brains had cooked up. “Ballistic” in terms of real bullets, real guillotines, real murder squads, real gulags, real re-education camps (120 million and counting from the Committee for Public Safety to beyond Pol Pot).
Am I scared? You bet.
This is probably the excuse for November 3 and beyond. “They were scared and not thinking correctly.” What he seems to ignore is that his Democrat Congress critters are far more scared. Some of them might even have to get a job. Of course, there’s lobbying but how many lobbying jobs will there be to lobby a rump Democratic minority ?
He is not a fool.
He is evil.
The more I hear this man, the more I am believing that something is very wrong with him. Yes, he is in his own world, can’t take anyone being critical about him, and totally out of touch with the majority of people, but there is something else just not right with him. A person who goes off on people like he does when things don’t go his way has problems. And more than just election problems.
HE is evil.
REMEMBER he is figurehead, HE is the standard bearer of the Democratic Party, the “Liberals”. AND they sit in the power seats. AND they are grooming that other EVIL personality Hillary Clinton as the white knight to clean up this mess. SHE remember was the originator of the “health care” manifesto
Ask yourself this question: IS OBAMA feint for their real attacks on America ? dISTRACTION
WHAT are they doing, these “liberals” in their smoke-filled rooms. One thing we do know we won’t be honestly informed by some ambitious “investigative journalist” from the establishment media.
It is important to remain watchful. These are not people who will remove themselves gracefully from the power they have sought with all kinds of reprehensible and yes criminal means on the principle of “whatever works”.
he believes whatever nonsense he repeats as long as it means it’s someone elses’ fault and not his.
This is the narcissist personality. Talk about fools, those idiots that think he will pivot like Clinton. No, he will destroy himself and his party rather than admit he was wrong and doesn’t know what he is doing on any issue
Since the left likes to project, what they’re really saying is they are crapping their pants in the face of the election in two weeks.
Wanting to change what isn’t working in the short term and has already caused significant damage in the long term is the “angry”, “scared,” “anti-intellectual” approach.
On the other hand, the “thoughtful,” “cool-headed,” “rational” approach is to keep doing the same thing over and over again with the expectation of different results.
Insanity.
We have to remember that ONE election won’t do the job.
Keep the pressure on through multiple election cycles — tossing as many “big government” types in the primaries or general elections as we can.
Yes, that’s right…but we must boot regardless of party affiliation. John McCain, while he was the nominee of the GOP in 2008, rarely toes the party platform…which is troubling.
But we have made quite a start…Mike Castle, et al, must understand that “nearly” GOP isn’t the same as VOTING GOP on issues.

The Republican Party has this one last chance to redeem itself. Otherwise, in 2012, there will be a third party on the ticket.
You got it, he’s a fool.
I think Obama is on to something here. Certainly the Lehman collapse, the financial panic in Aug-Nov 08 had us all scared. Presto . . our unclear, illogical thinking made us vote for Obama (well, not me. . I wasn’t scared).
But you’re right, this is just another example of how to deflect blame on Nov-3. It wasn’t us, it was the electorate acting irrational. It wasn’t us, it was the foreign money. It wasn’t us, it was republican districts swinging back that we had won in 2006 & 2008. It wasn’t us, it was that damn Tea Party.
If Obama says itws his policies or anything close to it, what does he run on? How can he possibly say “perhaps, perhaps we went a bit far.” How does he defend any vote that dems did?
With Gallop leaking out that unemployment may be above 10% in Oct, if that gets widespread play in the MSM, the dems are toast.
I used to find it interesting to wonder whether people like Al Gore and Barack Obama believe their own BS or are cynical liars. I no longer care. They must go. Period.
Fears and phobias. Isms and -ists. Dumb and ill-informed. Clingers and haters. All just ways the narcissistic Left seeks to end debate and dismiss anyone who deviates from any bit of their rigid catechism. We can hope the public discovery of Obama’s scams, tricks, rhetorical deceptions and scorn as a default attitude will wake them to the Left’s corresponding patterns. It’s voter gullibility that is the truly scary phenomenon.
I once heard a great expression which went something like this: “It is only possible to be two out of the following three: smart, honest, socialist.” So, you can be smart and honest, but not also a socialist. You can be an honest socialist, but that means you are not smart. And, you can be a socialist and smart, but you cannot also be honest. I think this just says it all. Then again you could also be a stupid, dishonest socialist, I suppose…..
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it one of the central conclusions of the Frankfurt School was that Marxism failed because the people are rubes and bought the capitalist ethos hook, line and sinker?
Scared, gullible. What’s the difference?
I can remember Bill Clinton back in 94′doing the same cautioning and gentle patting of the electorate as he was reading the polls and seeing the democrat majority in peril. I remember his infamous “Don’t vote when you are angry” sermon just days before the democrats were slaughtered. This isn’t any different. The question is what sort of character obama has when the going gets tough and he actually has to deal with a republican majority. I fear he won’t be able to adapt and our country will be adrift for 2 more years before he is replaced.
Yep, add that to the list of things to be scared about. No matter what the tsunami brings, we are STUCK with this guy as our leader for the next two years….
Well said, cfbleachers. If people are scared it’s with good reason–most people react that way when they’re in a car about to be driven off a cliff. Stomping the gas pedal in this situation is irrational. So fine, color us nervous. The economy is scared too, which is why job creation has been dismal; for all this talk of people being scared, he doesn’t understand that he’s the guy scaring them. But what else can we expect? He has nothing but bad ideas on the economy and he’s surrounded himself with people who are just as clueless. It’s no coincidence his cabinet has a record level of inexperience in the private sector.
If O-Bama-Lama-Ding-Dong had even the slightest experience dealing with REAL “fear”, he would know that often, it brings a distinct CLARITY to thought. When nothing matters but surviving against a life-threatening adversary or situation, things suddenly become very simply to understand. E.g., “Take all my freedom away? I don’t think so, @$$hole!”
Well put. That master wordsmith, Sir Winston Churchill, put it even better, twice.
When writing a letter home about his experiences as a war correspondent during the Boer War, he commented, “I have found that there is nothing quite as exhilarating as being shot at without result.”
Later, in the dark days after Dunkirk, when someone in his war cabinet (Anthony Eden, IIRC), said that the “issues” confronting England were so complex that he wasn’t sure anybody could grasp them all, Mr. Churchill replied, “I find that the prospect of imminent execution concentrates the mind wonderfully.”
Something tells me that Sir Winston’s words will be remembered much longer than anything said by The Self-Exalted One.
(BTW, the reason I happened to think of this is that right now I’m reading “The Mare’s Nest” by David Irving, about the British intelligence and military campaign against the German V-1 and V-2 projects in 1943-45. Excellent book.)

And remember one of Obama’s first actions in office was to return Churchill’s bust. What an insult?
Imagine Obama’s reaction to the miltary might of an all conquering Germany poised 20 miles away from the borders? A Beer Summit with Hitler?
Why is Teh Won doing this? (1) Projection, (2) Preemptive Excuse-making, (3) Preemptive Reframing. Which is different from (2) because it’s about setting up the GOP as the people who brought you so much misery in 2011 and 2012 with their angry panic-inspired blocking of the People’s Will, and their hateful plutocratic programs which required veto and after veto from the bunker formerly known as the Oval Office. Reason (1) is reflective of the narcissistic personality disorder and, by itself, is political suicide. Voters LOVE being told they’re stupid and addled by false fears. Reasons (2) and (3) are politically astute. Vicious, destructive and –we can hope– ultimately self-defeating. But astute all the same.
It would be wrong to underestimate this guy.
Which is why the Republican Party has to get off its sclerotic duff and abandon the business-as-usual. If they don’t after this election, they’re headed for the same dumper the Democrats are in.
I am not scared of him. He is scared of real men. He is scared of people like me. And for good reason.
Well, he probably would be scared of people like you if he had ever taken the trouble to meet any. Course then again if his style was to talk to people who had different ideas from his, he might not be in such a pickle right now. As an aside, I was so moved by the speech of the president of Chile after the miners came out. It was obvious he LOVED the people of his country. I have NEVER ONCE had the slightest inkling that Obama cared less about us.
Obama may be hoping to channel his inner FDR: The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. The reality is we are right to fear his policies.
“… we have to ask whether Obama actually believes what he is saying … if he does, he is a fool.”
That’s been the big question for several years now. I’m coming around to the view that he isn’t some Michaevellian genius working to turn the USA into a poor man’s Argentina, but a man of very pedestrian intellect, unimaginative, inflexible, and only superficially educated. A man like that can easily be a fool.
‘Way back in my MIT days I dealt with a good number of people who packed some serious intellectual horsepower, and I think I became able to recognize the signs of one when I heard him speak. In the last few years I haven’t picked up a single clue that Obama is anything but substandard in almost every way.
Many of us don’t expect much from politicians, but it’s still disappointing when we don’t get it.
A fool, a narcissist (the non-empathic type) and an ideologue.
Lousy combination.
Usually it’s worse to ‘be’ one than ‘see’ one (think of the rhyme of the purple cow), but in this case we are worse off than he is – as long as he holds any power.
Hopefully in two weeks that will shift – at least to some degree.
He is afool because he believes he is smarter then everyone else and thus can’t understand why we don’t bow down to him.
“Anger” and “Fear” are opposite sides of the same coin and are invoked depending on who has the power.
If someone comes to your desk and shouts “You sodding fool!” you feel either anger or fear depending on who has the power.
If the shouter is the boss, you feel fear. If the houter is a subordinate you feel anger.
In the instant case, we, the people, have the power, so we feel anger.
hard-wired not to always think clearly when we’re scared
See, that’s some incredible scholarship right there. Isn’t natural selection amazing to contemplate? And it makes perfect sense – when an organism is in danger it goes into stupid mode in order to improve chances of survival. Did any of those mouth breathing Tea Party rubes figure this out?
So now we know Obama is more than an impeccable trouser crease, he’s also a sooooper genius, just like Wile E. Coyote. It’s as I’ve been saying all along, America does not deserve to have him as our leader.
America does not deserve to have him as our leader.
As he keeps telling us.
Proving that in addition to His profound ignorance of everything other than Marx/Dewey theory, The One is neither an anthropologist or a clinical psychiatrist, as He obviously has never heard of the Fight or Flight Syndrome.
We can’t escape. Our only option is to fight. What He apparently can’t process is that it is His actions, and those of His sycophants in Congress, which provoked the reaction.
Which is odd, in view of their supposed “superior intellect”. After all, how much intelligence is required to understand that poking a sleeping tiger with a sharp stick, and then teasing it once it is awake, are not exactly good ideas?
cheers

Scared? Sure. But not of Obama – he’s always been as transparent as glass, phony as a $3.00 bill and lame as Tiny Tim. Obama couldn’t manage a Taco Bell well.
No, I’ll tell you what scares the hell out of me.
That there are almost 70 million rubes who pulled the lever for the amoral fraud who was a blatant liar and narcissist from the start, voted for his idiot apprentice Jolting Joe Biden as VP, somehow believed Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi anything but stupid and crooked, leaving the rest of us to be led by a Republican establishment that thought John McCain the most qualified opponent.
A fraud with a messianic complex who is not nearly as smart as Dims would like us to believe, and a feckless career politician who ranked near the bottom of the class to choose from for President.
What passes for leadership in this country ought to scare the hell out of everybody.
Tex:
Now THAT scares the wits out of me!
And he is doing his damage at a time in history when the world appears to be heading into a major war.
Very well said!
But add to the 70 million rubes, a DEAD opposition party, and a very much alive herd of ‘community organized’ goons and union knee capper thugs.
How about a new word, “polloiphobia,” to describe what the elites are expressing: fear of the masses.
The reason “facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day” is because the administration hasn’t TRIED that approach yet. The approach they HAVE employed is, of course, fear-mongering:
“The economy will collapse if we don’t pass Porkulus (and its numerous kin)!”
The health care system will collapse if we don’t pass Healthcare Reform – so we can find out what’s in it!”
“The financial system will collapse if we don’t pass another 2,000 unread pages of pandering and gobbledygook!”
“The Earth will DIE if we don’t pass Cap’n'Tax!”
This has been going on for 2 years – and the conservatives are somehow the “Party of Fear”. Tell me another one.
The Administration isn’t capable of wielding “facts and science and argument” – they aren’t even capable of recognizing them.
yes I call it the CHICKEN LITTLE method
the sky is falling, the sky is falling
See the latest book by Dinesh D’Souza, The Roots of Obama’s Rage.
I think we’re all looking too much into why Obama’s saying what he’s saying. The only thing we should be doing is to keep pointing out the bad things he’s doing, how his principles are tenets of socialism, how he failed to deliver on his promise of tax cuts, low health care costs, and how he was going to lower the national debt.
Obama will say what he will say, we should keep our focus on educating people on how Obama is bad for the country, because there are still people out there who are clueless about what is going on (although the number is going down exponentially!).
I had actually forgotten about the clear-thinking part of that quote. Funny thing, this fear Obama done so much to foster has focused his opponents like never before. The only ones not thinking clearly are the GOP establishment–and it’s not because they’re afraid, but because they’re not.
Who me, scared? No, I’m absolutely certain in my belief in the American people. In their common sense, their love of country, and their ability to overcome. Many Americans are too polite to tell Obama what they really think of him and his policies.
Sure, BHO and his cronies can try to steal the election by making sure the dead, the non-citizens and the incarcerated vote early and often and our service men and women do not. It won’t be enough this time. Or next time. America needs a leader, not a reader.
We are not scared, we are patient. And we will vote.
Perhaps President Obama has defined a new pejorative to describe his opponents: tyrannophobic.
Tex Taylor #24: Spot-on. We were given a choice between a disaster and a catastrophe, and we chose the catastrophe because it came with higher-grade BS. It’s hard to believe the GOP offered nothing better than McCain. It’s even harder to believe that it shows no signs of having acknowledged its failure, let alone tried to fix it. But as many commenters here and elsewhere rightly promise, if GOP does not shape up, right quick, it’s done. Either the same forces that animate the Tea Party will take over the GOP from the local caucus on up; or they will go full Third Party and siphon off all of its base along with a great many more voters. Within a year or two, the name “Republican” would have the brand power of “Edsel.”
Spot on Roger. I am angry, but not scared. I know that I will have to live with the consequences of a bad situation made much worse by this adminsitration. There will be very tough times to negotiate. Times were going to be tough anyway, but the weakness this man has imposed emboldens opportunists to try that which they might not have otherwise. China invading Taiwan? It’s only a matter of time. Japanese re-alliances within Asia? They may have no choice. All out Middle East war? Would you bet against it? Nuclear war? What you gonna do about it Barry? When the creditors and petroleum suppliers pull the plug, you won’t even be able to dispatch a carrier.
President Obama is in denial his Marxist policies are being rejected; therefore, in his bloated mind, the people are just too scared to know any different. Another translation for “scared” is “dumb.” In other words, the voters are just too stupid to know any better when they have it so good. President Obama will continue to double down with the new Congress & he will not listen to the Republicans in any capacity–unless they go with his Marxist ideas.
A point though subtle, from Mr. Simon, is Nov. 2, 2010 is but the near target. There is another target date, the first Tuesday Nov. 2012 and every two years there after. The price of freedom . . . eternal vigilance.
Of the past four US Presidents, two bushes, a clinton and a barroid, three have been intellectually challenged. Clinton had a real working brain. All four were/are morally challenged in some fundamental way. All lied about their pasts. At least three – and possibly four, counting Obama – made their bones with the agency. All oil-men by association. Obama is just by far the biggest disaster of the four, the Perfect Idiotic Storm.
Where do you get your facts to form blanket opinions like these?
The Bushes intellectually challanged, while CLINTON had a working brain?
Both Father and Son were Qualified to fly the most sophisticated military aricraft of their respective eras. Not something you can do if youre stupid.
Aerial navigation (at NIGHT!) requires comprehension of absrtact mathematics put into place in real time. Curvature of the earth, its rotation, and the aeornautical physics of the craft YOU are piloting all must be managed simultaneously, or else you DIE.
Now, you dont have to just stay alive, you have a MISSION to execute….time, target, weapons systems…not to mention (as in father B’s case) finding and LANDING on a small aircraft carrier.
These guys were both very sharp minded individuals, much more so than anyone who spent all their lives in Left wind “learming centers” immediately followed by minimally responsible political “careers” before getting into the oval office (45th place Arkansas, state senator/comunity activist)
Policies and public speaking skills are debateable. You can agree or disagree with the merits of their actions, or “delivery” skills in front of cameras. But intellectually challanged? No way!
Clintons major advantage is, he was without any sense of shame. A pathogical lier who would do anything (like invent false charges against the W.H. Travel Office staff to justify hiring cornies) and then lie about it. Intentionally destroy decent peoples lives with responding to false charges, just so he could avoid looking like a “dick” firing them to support his cronie friends.
I could go on and on, but we all remember the painful details of this amoral douchebag’s freak tenure as Chief Executive.
His “working brain” is otherwise known as ROSS PEROT, the man responsible for him getting the job with 41 % of vote.
Asleep at the switch for 8 years, he squandered the Cold War Victory, and was soft enough to think ARRAFAT could be trusted to deliver peace.
No wonder he never saw Bin Ladden and 9/11 on the horizon.
Smooth, yes…but not very SMART.
But he got away with his contempt for other people and their “rules”. ALL other people. It was never important for him to tell the truth. Remember he had trouble understanding the meaning of the word IS. People made the major error in believing ANYTHING he said.
And many people, especially those of the “Left” still hold him up as “pillar”,icon of competency in their approach to the world. And scorn from their aquiline noses those who do not bow to their greater knowledge and insights into the real workings of the humans mind / minds.
These same persons/ groups who wait for his less “charming” and less “attractive” spouse to take over where he left off.
These people so dismissive of the rubes, those ordinary people who voted for Obama AND Clinton. For Clinton TWICE even after he was exposed as the psychopath he is. Take your choice: the idiot common man or the idiot superior intellects who love these Clintons.
And remember this about the Clintons, for what it’s worth. Hillary then Rodham was one of the legal interns in the Watergate, in opposition to Nixon.
While her now husband spent the Vietnam War years in Oxford, one of the Oxbridge complex, KNOWN as a secretive communist sleeper and spy cell at the time.
Don’t overlook Clinton’s active work in ACORN and sub-prime lending.
To begin, JFKennedy and LBJ – Vietnam War. Then James Earl Carter whose “policies” opened the door for the Ayatollah Khomeini to return from exile in France to be the “hero” of Iran. At the advent to the Millenium.WJ Clinton.
The “Democratic” Party searched and found in the Governor of Arkansas the best Kennedy clone in the country. And Clinton proved a better Kennedy than all the Kennedys put together, using his Governorship for the droit de seigneur.
To ice the cake B. Obama, who should have been Hillary Clinton.

Two books about two different Barack Obamas are hot off the press and, based on reviews, promise to be fascinating reading even if the media have afforded them scant attention. One would not please the president, he may be ambivalent about the other.
The first book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage written by Dinesh D’Souza, who is clearly not a member of the president’s fan club, describes Obama as “a much stranger, more determined, and exponentially more dangerous man than you’d ever imagined.”
According to one book review, in D’Souza’s view, Obama doesn’t give much of a hoot about past civil rights struggles, which would seriously disappoint many of his supporters. On the other hand, those critics who believe he is motivated by Marxism-socialism, as his father, Barack Obama Sr. was, will also be disappointed since the author contends that those “isms” are not his inspiration.
His true inspiration, his motivation, the driving force behind Barack Hussein Obama, is much scarier than any Marxist-socialist philosophies.
That review continues, “What really motivates Barack Obama is an inherited rage—an often masked, but profound rage that comes from his African father; an anticolonialist rage against Western dominance, and most especially against the wealth and power of the very nation Barack Obama now leads. It is this rage that explains the previously inexplicable, and that gives us a startling look at what might lie ahead.”
Furthermore, the president sees his own country, our country . . .

Prior to the election obama’s code words for Divide and Conquer the greatest nation in the world were ‘hope and change’. So, now he is using ‘anger and fear’. Are these code words for ‘seek and destroy’??? Why is he leaving the country after the election? Why is that horrible thing he sleeps with leaving for Spain again? Are they going to get out while the getting out is good?
Blaming President Bush has gotten real old. Most of the demons don’t use that any more. So, what is the liar up to now? I guess we will have to wait for his next demonic move against America and Israel.
This has been a lefty meme since 2001.
We don’t want to live under Sharia so we’re Islamophobes “hiding under the bed from the brown people.”
We want to enforce the immigration laws, so we’re afraid of no longer being the dominant identity group.
You can’t have a rational discussion with leftists.
Right on, y’all! I’m not scared. I’m mad as hell at these Commie freaks who are stealing our American heritage. I will express my anger at the voting booth on November 2nd. That had better work, because if it doesn’t, a lot of people a lot like me are going to consider other options. Obama the Kenyan is the one who should be scared; he and his Democrat thugs have declared war on the American people. Not smart. Takes work to remove tar and feathers. That’ll be the first real job this twerp has ever had.
And for the Right, angry is the new excuse.
All I can say to that is, if he does, he is a fool.
I’m confident that he does.
Ironically that makes me less sacred.
I think Mr. Obama is projecting on the ‘scared and not thinking straight’ part.
I believe the man is, in fact, a fool. A fool in way over his head. Under his Presidency, it’s all starting to
come apart: his own party, foreign policy, the economy, race relations, you name it….
Ideologues always scare me, they are incapable of seeing where their ideology has failed and why it has failed, this is why the left refuses to understand why their socialist programs fail every time they are tried. Now we have one in the White House and he is causing damage to the US that will take decades to repair, and is preventing our strength from stopping a major war. Welcome to the world the far left has created for us.
It looks like the democrat party is completely rudderless and its leader down in the bilges trying to get a fix.The worms of corruption have eaten big holes in the hull and the ship of state poised to sink.
We need to immediately drydock that ship and put on a new crue that knows how to handle it.As for the old crue ,walking the plank is too good.
It’s all projection:
- we are angry, he is (or should be) scared.
- the Left’s rallies are all astroturf, so they say ours are.
- they depend on unaccountable foreign money, so they say (and maybe think) that we do.
- their leaders, candidates and pundits are fundamentally ignorant of American history and economics, so they say ours are.
etc., etc., etc.
…. It’s all Projection ….
In a word?
Yes.
…. “Scared” has become the Left’s default position – a prime example being represented in the word, “Islamophobia” …. a deliberate misnomer, imputing “fear” to people who dislike and/or despise the ideology of Islam ….
Used to be so but the suffix, “phobia,” has come into very well accepted usage as also meaning “disliking,” hating and/or loathing — etceteras.
As in my favorite when describing the false fuhrer Mudhummud’s, votaries?
Hesperophobia: Psychopathological rage at and hatred and loathing of the West.
