If the bozo in this video actually is a high school teacher in the LA Unified School District, as currently identified on YouTube, California might as well declare bankruptcy and throw itself on the mercy of Greece.
(BTW, if the video above doesn’t play, you can find it here. It is one of the greatest living demonstrations of the reactionary vacuousness of identity politics I have ever seen)

This is what we are up against. There are people like Coot who nervously joke about it but, it’s here. It’s ugly.
This idiot ought to talk to my Salvaderian and Guatamalan friends. They just don’t seem to identify with the ‘dudes’ from Mexico.
This guy is a moron. As a Mexican-American I think this teacher with his third world ideas besides showing his ignorance of history and economics is also a big fat A#s-Hole. From the looks of the tape his appearance beguiles a narcissist hogging the stage and acting cute for the benefit of the grupa de chica- chicanas. Not to worry though USA, fear not because he has been voted down as a complete idiot by us Veteranos viewing this embarrassing incident.
Mexican-Americans are very religious, conservative and law abiding. (It is mostly the illegals who feed the criminal justice system, courts and prisons) The problem for Mexican-Americans as a massed ethnographic political force is that we have no executive leadership representing us in the United States. Instead we see morons like this pony tail guy pretending to be a revolutionary by seizing the media and acting like he is our future. Shades of Che.
By the way, all of us Mexican Americans while going through college and university never took this Aztlan reconquista crap seriously. Life is fun and games. To us, college life was all about our clique meeting women, going to dances, making love and blowing off steam.
The problem starts when this guy preaches to all of those people in his audience and those people echo to their friends and so on and so on.
Sadly, all it takes is one town-crying jerk on his soap-box to make a lot of good people look bad.
I’m sure this radical leftist high school teacher merely represents the tip of the iceberg. As matter of fact, those who vocally disagree are the ones likely compelled to find other employment! In the predominantly Hispanic school districts this behavior is probably the ho-hum norm. California is experiencing a near existential crisis. Roughly 500 citizens leave the state on a daily basis. The majority of them earn high wages. Nonetheless, I don’t sense that a sufficient number of Californians are even willing to recognize the crisis. The November elections are crucial. They might be the very last reasonable chance of ever turning things around.
With all due respect (because I really do respect you and your comments), I have to tell you that it’s not just about radical Leftists. The La Raza and other sects of not only Mexican heritage but American Indian heritage have such beliefs. Yes, beliefs. There are people in our country who not only feel disenfranchised but also feel their land was stolen by the white man and no amount of political bennies are going to heal that rift.
Look at the hell-holes that are Indian reservations? The drunk driving deaths on ‘their’ land are epidemic.
This is beyond political. This is humanitarian. Somehow, we have got to be able to reach out to desperate people without resorting to the welfare state system. What is the answer? What can we do for our fellow men and women? I’m awestruck at the gravity of our situation regarding illegals. To fathom it is incomprehensible! It’s very grave.
The exact same leftist community has also radicalized a high percentage of American Indians. This has been a decades long effort to turn all these people into bitter and self-pitying individuals. The Democratic Party would be a minor political entity if it eliminated race carding. I am following with some interest the somewhat peculiar attempt by Mickey Kaus to unseat Barbara Boxer. His fight against illegal immigration is an existential threat to the Democrats. Republicans should gladly contribute to his campaign.
David,
How many people have the impetus to learn and to succeed?
How many people abhor work and would rather not?
This is what we are really up against.
Scary.
I beg to differ with your statements concerning the American Indian. You both have totally ignored the siutation that the Native American represents. First and foremost is that Every Native American Tribe has a “Treaty” with the Federal Government. In those treaties was guarnateed certain commitments to the tribes by the Federal Government. Get your facts straight before you castigate groups of people that YOU know nothing about. It is absolutely clear by what you have said that you do not know what you are talking about. I am not calling you anything but stupid. Use your intelligence first people. Before you get down on something it really does help if you get up on it first.
OK, Tallgrass, school us. What’s really going on with the Native American reservations? Is there more than what we see, which is rampant poverty and alcoholism?
Information, please, if you can avoid the ad hominem attacks of “stupid” and “misinformed.”
First my point being that there exists between all recognized Native American Tribes and the US Government a “Treaty” submitted to and approved by the Congressional branch of OUR government. Is there rampant problems on the reservations? Yes, absolutely and totally. Is there opportunities for anything but that life style? Not many. Ask yourself why the reservations are located where they are and immediately it is recognized why, for in almost every case the reservation is in a location that the government could see “no future” need for, wastelands. When lands that were owned by a tribe did for some reason create interest, principally natural resources (gold, silver, oil, water)caused renewed interest then those lands were taken away, usually via, “partitioning” off areas that were then opened to settlement by whomever. Large wealth was recovered from those lands, some remained Indian Owned Land and the wealth from those lands was taken for “management” by the Government, consider the Osage Indians in Oklahoma who lost billions of dollars due to government management. Money taken from the tribe and “lost” by the government . . . to this day the government has no idea where that money went. Even today the tribes are reduced to economic endeavors such as casinos, truck stops, cigarette sales . . . why? Because that is just about all the “States” will allow . . . and even the right to operate those enterprises have been contested to the Supreme Court. Every endeavor that any tribe undertakes must first fight a battle with state governments. That last group of people to gain the right to vote in the US was the Native American. Land that belonged to Native Americans was taken from them via strange processes that today would never withstand a legal challenge. I could keep going, but nothing really matters any more . . . but it is a sad thing to me when people say things about the Native Americans when they know so little about what has been done to them and what is being done to them to this day. At times there was nothing racist about what was done to the Native American . . . it was just pure genocide. Do I see any hope for the way things are between the Federal Government and the Native American? Yes, surprisingly I do . . . but it has nothing to do with the wagging tongues and closed minds. If you don’t know history then you need to learn it before opening your mouth. That is all that I was saying.
An intersting read, there are other sources of information, referenced by Wiki . . . however . . . this is again some of the treatment that the tribes were subjected to. Does this apply to the current situation . . . probably not . . . but it is the beginning:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Removal_Act
How does this kind of treatment apply today?
My great-grandmother, whom I knew as a child, was alloted land in Oklahoma. Oil was discovered on this land. As a result, through the legal processes of the State of Oklahoma and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, she was declared illiterate, appointed a ward of the court, two lawyers were assigned to be her guardians. Since she now had a guardian, her land was sold to one of the major oil companies for only a few dollars per acre. That oil company continues to own that land to this day. Why was this done? Pretty simple actually, she was illiterate, there was dollars to be made (by the oil company) and taxes to be collected by the State of Oklahoma. Would anyone in their right mind consider this to be appropriate treatment . . . I see it as a grave error on the part of the US government and State of Oklahoma . . . is there anything that I personally can do about it? Not a thing. I could write a book of the misjustices done to others that I know, but would it mean anything . . . NO.
I am proud of my heritage, I am a veteran, I am a conservative, I am a citizen of TWO Nations (US and Muscogee Creek) . . . my family has had the crap kicked out them by a government that made the same kind of commitments to them as I see being made today to ALL US Citizens and the coming government attrocities are without bias to race, creed, color, sex or religion. We are all in serious trouble with what is happening in Washington!!! I am one of the “We the People”.
Weeping over the past will do nothing for indigenous folk but get our pity. There are millions of foreigners who came to this country without a dime to their name, putting the past in their rear mirror and making a go of it. Indians have clung to their land and traditions at the expense of their own welfare. Nothing stands in the way of their becoming engineers, doctors, teachers or other professions except themselves. They are like my brother who, when my parents died took to drink and remained at the homestead with his memories in desperate hope that something will change. I left home 31 years ago, leaving a decaying town that’s changed little since. While not extraordinarily successful I do have a good job, a nice home, and a great wife. If I didn’t leave I may have wound up like my brother. Indian culture is there worst enemy, the reservations being albatrosses around their necks.
P.S. I hope there is going to be a Mother’s Day post of some sort. Even though my mom was a sorry excuse for a mom, my husband’s mother was absolutely precious.
Of course, there is no such thing as a perfect person or a perfect parent but there are some that do deserve some kudos (including Roger’s mum)!
You know I work the system
I dissed ‘em then I fist ‘em
The racist in you I bring out

You da racist.
I say da when I lie to yo face.
You da racist.
It’s easy like dat. See?
*sigh* no wonder Arizona is banning Ethnic studies. If this is what they are teaching students, that is not an education, that is an indoctrination.
Chris, the more we separate each other by ethnicity the more separatist we become. By ‘classifying’ us by ‘race’ we’ve essentially made our country racist by proxy.
Our country has turned on itself and turned on its people.
If we were ever united, it surely doesn’t show any longer.
This makes me effin’ sad.
James Just, I have exactly the same feeling about being represented by Nancy Pelosi. It’s not just about Mexican-Americans and American Indians. Women, gays, the disabled have all been given little boxes in which they are supposed to live. They are much smaller and more constraining than the hurdles we once wanted to overcome. We can’t even talk to one another anymore because everytime we open our mouths, another word has been declared hurtful. Decent well-intentioned people can survive the messiness of getting to know one another, but we need to be able to do it one by one so that we can see up close what we have in common. We do not need spokespeople defining who we are and how we are to interpret our lives.
I once had a houseguest from India who was visiting my husband at work. I asked my husband to ask whether he was vegetarian, and when I got an affirmative answer I did some research on Indian food and came up with, among other things a lentil salad to serve him. He was delighted because he had been on the road for a few months and had missed lentils. Well, that led to a wonderful conversation about our childhood and favorite foods. I learned that his family had a little mango room where they stored mangos till they ripened. He learned that every summer in cantalope season my father brought home pecks of perfectly ripened melons. During all this, we got a feel for our family lives growing up. We didn’t have to discuss Krishna or Christ, imperialism or castes to find some important similarities in our childhood memories.
My Pet Jawa has ID’d the teacher:

Calling for a revolt actually seems worse than grievance politics. It should be grounds for firing.
I thought advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government was illegal?

I have FOUR words for this jackass, “COME AND TAKE IT” that’s what the flag in Texas said when Santa Anna wanted the cannon from Texans.
This guys is a stone jackass and just becuase he has the right to make these remarks in NO WAY make correct. Texas won its freedom from Mexico via a war. Is that what he want’s now?
From what I have seen in Mexico, that army is in no way able to fight one-so he better make peace with the drug dealers becuase right now they are the only fighting force he can count on in Mexico. As for the US, he should stay right where he is at-Immigration reform is coming to him!
To solve all of California’s problems, why doesn’t it just succeed from the Union and annex back to Mexico. Everyone’s problems would be solved.
because California is collateral for the 800 billion we owe China.
It is as if they are trying to force people to force them out. It really is. There are plenty of people who would be sympathetic with the desire of poor people to find a better life, but this sort of rhetoric scares people. And for good reason too.
And it is not just the fault of the feds either. For years liberal mayors in California have created sanctuary cities for illegals, thumbing their noses at the federal law. They helped create this situation.
If he’s ranting against the U.S., and preaching for a Latino takeover, why is he doing it English?
Porque no habla muy buen español.
No doubt.
Sounds like this “teacher” is preaching sedition. He ought to be investigated. Free speech is one thing “free speech” advocating revolution and intimating violence is quite another. Obviously political correctness that has now run amok.
Semper Fi
The poverty in Asia? Obviously this guy’s never been to Asia. Take a look at Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, even Bangkok…. thriving cities where the standard of living has increased to heights inconceivable two generations ago. The cause? Capitalism. Take a look at Phnom Penh,Pyongyang, Yangon… rat holes. The cause? Not capitalism, vato.
If Wikipedia can be trusted, California requires “all state employees” to sign a loyalty oath. Perhaps working for LAUSD makes this guy a county or city employee, but if he’s legally a state employee, he surely can and should be fired for violating his oath.
There are thirty million living Americans, veterans, who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Many of them own weapons. This guy wants an uprising? What is he joking?
now USA is ISrael – & you have your very own Palestinians-
a nationalist group with mythical vitimology revsionist history wanting to take by force the land you “occupy’ and justify their hate, their lies, their racism by calling you, the people who let them into your country to share, colonial racist oppressors.
And all these movements are supported by – yes-> commies! Dear Mexican communistas, Che Castro Chavez fans- please move to the places that embrace your stale thoughts and made them reality- Go live in Cuba or Venezuela- but GTFO of here, the immigration should be easy as most people can’t wait to get out of those countries- then we will have room for people who LIKE our way of life to live here.
This guy is an IDIOT.. a communist rabble rouser, screaming that Castro, Che Guevarro and Chavez are his heroes. 1st.. it’s time for the school to get rid of this piece of s**t.
Second, if these people are not citizens, we have to get rid of them. Time to ACT. Arizona is just the beginning. These are radical RACISTS … and he says “our enemy is capitalism and imperialism”.
I think a majority of Mexicans and other Hispanics in this country legally and illegally don’t support this BOZO. La Raza is a racist, communist organization and Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Marxist Democrats support La Raza.
“Imperialism & Capitalism”, that is the silly anti-capitalist equation the communists, and silly academic elite communist enablers, parrot endlessly.
Capitalism is why the USA, and the West, has so much more wealth than the rest of the non-capitalist world. Capitalism means more private, peaceful decisions about economics, with agreements and contracts that are enforced by a limited gov’t.
All other working alternatives mean more gov’t force, and less peaceful choice; and all such sully revolutionaries and elitists really want more … power.
Economics can be a positive sum game, where both sides are better off when they both peaceful agree (the peaceful private sector) on a win-win. But when the gov’t forces choices, it’s a govt’ win-taxpayers/ regulated folk lose.
And the failed big gov’t anti-capitalism is what these silly folk want.
If this guy is such an authentic revolutionary Hispanic, why does he refer to the Rio Bravos as the Rio Grande?
He’s just another LeftProg Posseur.
As a recently retired senior high teacher of the Social Sciences in the LAUSD I can tell the left-leaning eduweenies there have been allowing and encouraging morons such as the ‘teacher’ ithe video to run rampant for decades. These so called teachers, are with few exceptions semi-literate gifts of affirmative action. These pieces of societal failure and refuse instigate and have been attempting to incite young people of Mexican ancestry since the middle 1960s.
Such so called teachers almost without exception allow their ‘students’ to watch tv, engage in drug trafficing, spend class time listening to the most vile forms of pop music, and plan mostly unsucessful politcal rabble rousing rallies and raids on classtime and have been doing so for at least the last 42 years. How do I know you amy ask? I had one of these retard La Raza drone propaganda spewing frauds running rampant in the classroom next door to for me for several years until he got outed by the schools student “underground” newspaper.
The good fortune for the nation is the audience attracted and regaled these phony buffoons purporting to be teachers are the far gone delusional dopers, repeat criminal pushers, mentally limited, emotionally disturbed, or wannabe gang bangers.
Only the moron 15-20% swallow the vitriol of these communists poseurs propagandists. They and their followers are all on rotation from or soon off to the penal system in their state.
At least 80% of the Mexican ancesrtry students I came into contact with went about their lives pursuing a future that would benefit themselves and our country.
The La Raza idiots are cockroaches that need to be exposed, ridiculed, discredited, and driven form the public forum by that most effective disinfectant, the sunlight of public exposure.
Ok..let’s just cut off the welfare and see if they want to be here..Remember Capitalism is our enemy he says,.Well the Capitalism is 10.5 billion poorer each year due to welfare for illegals just in California. The Prisons are filled and 85% of all outstanding warrants in LA county are for illegals with criminal records. ..Check it out..Also please remember that the Mexicans took California from Toypurina who had to marry one to save her people..These Mexicans who came enslaved the Indians, infected them with many diseases and raped the women..That is how the Mexicans got to California. This guy is a teacher but evidently does not study history other than RAZA. Most Americans have no problem with immigration but most people wait 10 yrs. to get a hearing before the INS Boards, while this fool takes the fruit of our lands, and incites to riot. The new Law in Arizona does not have the Word “Mexican” anywhere in it.As well, having lived in the Yucatan I know that if you cross the border at the bottom of Mexico they enslave you..Ask the El Salvadorians..
Tallgrass,
It’s something of a diversion from the topic, but what do you think needs to happen for your people to rebuild themselves and find a balance between what remains of the native American cultures today and the cultures of rest of the country?
Obviously welfare statism of the “throw money at it, hide it, and hope it goes away” variety doesn’t work. Neither has anything else that I know about (I’m Australian, and none of the various well-meaning but often phenomenally stupid attempts to help the Australian aboriginal peoples have done much, if any good either).
To use a rather poor analogy, it seems to me that native American people are in a hole they didn’t dig for themselves. They’re not getting out of it without a ladder – which someone on the surface has to supply – but what form should the ladder take? Is it as simple as “Just let us decide our lives and make our own commercial decisions and don’t change your mind when you find something valuable on our land”?
Regards,
Kate
he’d better watch out, or the Native Americans, who the Spanish committed genocide against, will rise up and throw them out. Oh, he meant the “Aztecs”? My point made: they have no claim on California.
And one wonders why these “Hispanics” don’t recognize that Mexicans are not the only “Hispanic” group in the US is Mexican…ignore the Cubans and the one million Colombianos in the US…not to mention Native Americans and Filipinos like myself who bear a Spanish name and have to suffer telephone calls in Spanish trying to tell us how to vote…
