For reasons almost anyone can guess at this point, except perhaps Congressman Henry Waxman, Lionel and I have invited Al Gore and his collaborators director Davis Guggenheim and producer Lawrence Bender to defend their Oscar for An Inconvenient Truth. And nice guys that we are, we have been especially kind about it. We don’t sandbag people (well, almost never). As you will see in Poliwood Challenges Gore: Defend Your Oscar!, Lionel and I are giving Gore and his cohorts all their questions in advance. It’s the right thing to do, n’est-ce pas?
Now for this part you must be sitting down… so far no word from Gore!

Excellent idea. I would pay more than a couple dollarsy to see Mr. Gore attempt to defend that silly mockumentary.
In fact, I have been wondering where he is right now… what he’s doing? I understand that the global warming theory doesn’t mean that all snow storms will vanish. But, c’mon! This season has been too funny.
Record breaking snowfalls all around the globe. All while we are (according to Gore and the rest) dancing with death, courting our own destruction, permanently destroying our mother Earth.
From Gore’s camp…? We hear nothing but crickets.

Gore’s Oscar, like his Nobel, was awarded for his political activism on behalf of AGW.
Now that AGW is being revealed for the scam it always was, this is not stupid at all.
Just have them retroactively change the Oscar category to “Science Fiction”. This would be an easy paperwork fix. And everyone is happy!
