Lucky Obama once more. Media and we poor humans (their consumers) being what we are – the Tiger Woods scandal has sucked the air out of everything. I have even been transfixed, weak-willed fellow that I am. (Well, if not transfixed, at least curious).

And what timing. The Climategate scandal continues to metastasize, the Senate majority leader makes sub-neanderthal statements on healthcare and now the Secretary of State is looking as corrupt as, well, your average Chicago politician, revealing the stimulus plan to be what many feared it to be – some government-run version of insider trading.

Although the MSM is loathe to admit it, the entire Obama program and administration has turned into a clown show in less than a year. And let’s not even talk about the unconscionable, immoral silence on Iran. Thank God for Tiger Woods (and Christmas) indeed!

But despite it all, the good news is that American people (hey, that’s us) are waking up – and rather rapidly, if you think about it. With ninety percent of the media lined up in Obama’s corner (okay, that’s diminishing), according to the polls, the people have done an about-face and are marching off in the other direction. Is the Commander-in-Chief listening? He claims to be “above the polls.” As we used to say, “tell me about it.”

    Great News ..

Blaming Bush may not be an option much longer …

Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama’s declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they’d rather have his predecessor.

The heck with the alleged threat of global warming. That is nowhere near as important as the plight of Tiger Wood. He is no longer a run of the mill philanderer. Tiger is now entering Bob Crane of Hogan’s Heroes fame territory. He is now increasingly perceived as something of a freak.

  3. Actually, the Tiger Woods story fits right in the entire Obama atmosphere.

The smartest administration in history has given us a Stimulus bill that is strangling jobs growth, considering a Cap and Trade bill that will drive up costs for every day living, and a Health Care bill sure to ruin the entire health delivery system. These are just three of the disasters Obama is forcing upon the country.

At least Tiger’s indiscretions were immediately punished when they became known. It seems Tiger’s wife has a pretty good follow-through on her swing and took down Wood’s carreer a notch.

Voters have to wait until 2012 to follow through on Obama’s career.

Thank God the Republicans will be running things again. Maybe we can get Tom Delay and Phil Gramm back too.

I’ve been educated by you all how I shouldn’t worry and be happy about global warming if it exists. So let us keep burning fossil fuel with wild abandon, mother nature will self correct. Just as an aside the evil Dr. James Hansen (global warming promoter) has called for the transfer from coal generated electricity to nuclear power. Now isn’t that something we can all get behind?

It is comforting to know that the Dems are just as corrupt and incompetent as the Repubs. Thanks Roger I’ll sleep better tonight.

“It seems Tiger’s wife has a pretty good follow-through on her swing and took down Wood’s carreer a notch.”

Tiger doesn’t have a thing to worry about. Harry Reid will make sure that he gets the best medical care. Today’s surgeons know how to remove a golf club from one’s skull.

    Good night Joe (4)

  7. Maybe we can combine these stories. The new euphemism for Tiger’s escapades could be Cap n’ Trade. (or Clap n’ trade, depending upon precautions).

Indeed, this administration has turned into a “clown show”–outstanding verbiage, sir Rog. That is exactly what it has become and he is perfecting the art of moving from city to city quickly enough that the live audience doesn’t get bored–but we are now a globally e-connected audience with Mr. Drudge as the ringmaster and the clownishness is wearing thin.

As for Joseph, his “education” comes courtesy of the East Anglian hackers–and I offer them my thanks as well. No one is burning fossil fuel with “wild abandon”, you buffoon. We are commuting to work and going on vacation, but they are taking the jet to Hopenchangen to release some hot air into a microphone as some sort of a climate AA meeting.

    Dear California Dreamer

To quote the great Quentin Tarantino,”Are you such a loser you can’t tell when you’ve won?…You’ve won [California Dreaming] Enjoy it.” (From Dusk To Dawn)

Now all you have to do is figure out what to do with your new won power. Give us your dream of political perfection Cal so we can all be enlighten and shown the true path.

How about not strip mining coal and use NUCLEAR POWER instead. Will you agree that would be something we all can get behind or are you a smokestack lover? How about electric or natural gas vehicles instead of sending billions of our dollars to the Saudis and Hugo Chavez.

Do you have any interest in joining with your fellow Americans and finding common cause or do you just want a civil war? The reality is that this country is deeply divided and folks like you aren’t helping to bring us together. Be persuasive and avoid ad hominem attacks and maybe we can save what our fore bearers left us.

    Joseph,

    How about the following:
    A. more nuclear power plants
    B. wind and/or solar where practical
    C. drill more american gas and oil
    D. ever increasing technological innovation to improve energy efficiency
    E. cleaner coal technologies–including coal gasification and liquification (to the extent that it makes economical sense)

It’s all of the above that are needed. all have some downsides, but face it, we’re going to need energy and lots of it.

  11. 11. C3

The problem is the same group of clueless environmentalist virtually brought the nuclear industry to its knees decades ago. If it wasn’t for their stupidity much of today’s electricity would be produce by nuclear and the need for fossil fuels would have diminished. Why do we listen to these fools.

I agree completely with your list of priorities especially A,B and D. C and E as needed.
