Irish wake? Two Jews sitting shiva? Call it what you will, but Lionel Chetwynd and I – both old friends of Ron Silver’s – knew that this week’s Poliwood would have to be about the great actor/activist who passed away last weekend. And we knew it would have to be a special one – hence our first special edition: “Remembering Ron Silver”

Ron had told me in New York a couple of months ago that he wanted to be a guest on our show. Well, now he is. We missed him the minute he was gone and we always will. We hope you enjoy our tribute to our friend.

Good job! Best discussion show on the web or tv for that matter. Is there an adjective form for the word “discussion”?

A lovely tribute to a lovely man. I am so sad that he is gone. We NEED men like him in this dangerous world.

thank you for a well crafted and poignant tribute. as I strive to recall the best of times I am reminded by such works that men like Silver are of the stuff that made my life beautifully worth living.

I am going to watch “Blue Steel” later today. Ron Silver played a psychopathic serial murderer. I’m sure he had a lot of fun making this action packed film.
