I spent the entire second half on my feet in my living room. (This is the kind of event when the investment in a projection TV set is worth while.) The last couple of minutes were amazing with three-to-four Celtics collapsing on Kobe who swung the ball over to Gasol. As the saying goes, Pau got it done. What a gift to the Lakers from Barcelona via Memphis. The way LA was playing today, they looked like the champions. But there’s a long season ahead and then the real season – better known as the playoffs.
What a Christmas (for Laker fans)

Argggh, we’ll get you next time! Quite a game though, and probably a harbinger of the playoffs (championship series) again this year.
For some reason, my HDTV didn’t look as good as yours apparently did this game, Roger.
I have spoken to God—and he assures me that the Houston Rockets will win the championship. Sorry about that.
Where were these lads last June? That defense in the final three minutes was suffocating, to say the least. When’s the rematch?
Thanks for mentioning Memphis,Roger…NOT
Well,at least we don’t have the Lions…
Does any NBA regular season game really count when 90 pct of the teams will end up in the playoffs. Like hockey, which I don’t get, basketball is a playoff deal which makes the regular season, quite frankly boring.
But then again, I think there is nothing prettier than a middle line backer blowing through the offensive line and SMASHING a quarterback.
