Introducing POLITICS CENTRAL

That’s the new website and initiative from Pajamas Media. Please have a look at the beta site and give us your comments.

Also have a listen to my podcast interview with Ambassador Daniel Ayalon – The Israeli Ambassador speaks to the blogosphere in a time of war.

As you might guess, it was a remarkable experience.

2. Stay on topic.

3. Disagree, but avoid ad hominem attacks.

4. Threats are treated seriously and reported to law enforcement.

5. Spam and advertising are not permitted in the comments area.

Ahhhh, Roger. Podcasts are not my friends. I am deaf, and as such…cannot benefit from them. I value the written word.

Are we getting away from the beloved, written word for the PODCAST? It reminds me of getting an e-card when a written letter is so much better…..

    Just my two worthless cents.

    *sigh*

  2. 2. Roger

We are not getting rid of the written word. There will be transcripts of podcasts. Both comng

  3. Pajamas Media is going in the right direction. The pod casts are a nice addition. It might also be a good idea to eventually copy the Blogging Heads TV concept of Mickey Kaus and Robert Wright.

Many videos to come. Watch the site.

    Roger,

While I am sure the podcast is timely and well worth viewing you have to remember there are still a lot of us out here where the “slow modem” is all that is available (and at that not terribly reliable). A transcript is certainly welcome later but given my ISP and its infrastructure 11+MB is about a 40 minute download and at the moment subscribing to a satellite system is not cost effective. Still, I guess it is the wave of the future. Great coverage this weekend, by the way. PJM was the go-to site.

MikeD, a simplified low-fi version of the Ayalon interview for dial-up modems is being prepared and will be on the site soon.

Pajmas Media at your service. :)

    Roger,

The technical quality of the podcast itself was excellent. but I honestly can’t say I learned anything new from Ayalon that I hadn’t already heard in any of the umpeenth other back-to-back-to-back television, radio and print interviews that he’s given with the so-called MSM. Not your fault, really — I just don’t think there’s anything more he could add right now.

In other news, Michael Totten turned comments back on.

And over at Kishkushim (http://kishkushim.blogspot.com/), they’re providing some of the best up-to-date info on what’s going on in Haifa that I’ve found. The pic they just posted of a notebook computer on the floor in the windowless apartment hallway says much.

Thank you Roger for not getting rid of the written word. Transcripts, blogs and subtitles save my day!

    Again-thanks.

  9. great!

  10. Good stuff. ‘Glad to hear there will be transcripts, though — much easier to cut and paste for citations:

    “It’s a matter of results”
