This is how the GWOT will be one on ideas and ideology and not on the ground.

To support our brave men and women in uniform who are going into harm’s way on our behalf, we need to back them up and when the War of Information as well.

So far the LL and the MSM are succeeding as a good “fifth column” that is only emboldening and empower the enemy to kill more innocents and our brave men and women.

They are in the terms of the BBC “Misguided Journalists.” They’re worthless in my opinion.

Roger, I too signed on using my real name. Thanks for pointing it out.

    Roger,

I posted this over in a thread at LGF. I will link back to here. Just realized what I said over there is just what this statement says much better. All we need to do is spread the word.

    A line must be drawn

Power to the free people. We must stand against that which would divide us.

Again please spread the word of the Iranian journalist speaking out for the struggle of the Irainian people for freedom.

I’m at a loss to understand how this helps anything but since you asked so nicely, Roger, it is done. Like the others, real name used in this case.

Well, I agree about the helping part. But think of it as a ritual. Rituals have their place and uses.

I did too. Also gave it a link.

    Knucklehead:

More then likely this will not directly effect anything. But sometimes a mass statement like this can help people who are thinking about taking the extra and sometimes dangerous actions that might possibly help start the avalanche that might bring change to the middle east and will be given the hope and the moral support that might kickstart change. This doesn’t replace concrete actions by our government but they do not hurt. It’s like telling someone who has lost a loved one that you send your sympathies. It doesn’t help much at the moment and it doesn’t bring the dead back but it is still the decent thing to do.

  11. I signed as well. Even though I have quibbles with some portions of the statement, the overall sentiment is one I agree with whole-heartedly.

It does though apply a boot to the groins of the apologists of terror, the creeping cringing “root causers” whose every poisonous word gives succour to the enemy.

It is an “I’m Spartacus” moment which will let those at the sharp end of this business that there are those at their backs who are on their side.

    PeterUK:

Exactly! I think we sometimes imagine ourselves so sophisticated that simple declarations of priniciples and words that are just plain morale boosters don’t mean anything.

They won’t change the world but if you don’t occasionaly remind the world, and sometimes more importantly your wavering neighbor, of what you believe in they assume you do not believe in anything. It doesn’t have to be eloquent. The day after 7-7 I was in a bit of a funk. Someone posted a link with a series of photos of individual photos whith the phrase “Were not Afraid” They were very inspiring. But the last one gave me a real jolt. It was a gentleman with a determined but quircky look, the top of his photo said “F###ers, the bottom, “Not Impressed, Not afraid” I try, often with mixed results, to stear clear of foul language but in this case it was perfect. We are in a war and sometimes I feel there are many sophisticated people who are using all of their intellect to conjure up the myth that we are not. By pretending that it is a police problem that can be solved with a few extra coppers on the beat they are just taking a mental form of heroin to block out reality. Sometimes just yelling “You F###ers are blind” just might wake them up if delivered in the right way. Thats how I see the statement of purpose.

When they write of these times, historians will search records such as these. My name will be of no interest to them, but I am glad to know that it will be there.

Hi. New guy here. Tell me more about this website and the folks from the Alliance for Workers Liberty.

I’m all for the letter itself but don’t necessarily want to be on mailing lists of people whom I don’t want to associate with. Would I be making a mistake by signing up for this thing?
