Roger -
It may be better to wait until March 7th for inexperienced users of Firefox. The Auto Update (from v1.0 to v1.01) will be available on that date (and if your Firefox is set to autoupdate – which is the default setting – the update will proceed automatically).
The current available download (for v1.01) at Mozilla requires you to uninstall your existing version (according to a posting in the group devoted to Firefox on the Mozilla site).
Just FYI.
That’s funny. I didn’t uninstall and 1.0.1 seems to be functioning fine (so far). But your warning may be a smart one anyway.
Being the good lil’ knucklehead that I am, I followed our hosts instructions. I didn’t need to uninstall the 1.0. But, as Roger pointed out, waiting the week for the auto save of the several mouse clicks may be wise.
1.0.1 installed right over the old version for me, clean as a whistle. Thanks for the heads up, Roger.
