Confused you, didn’t I?
I’m talking about President of the Writers Guild of America, west, not President of the United States — an important distinction, I admit, but still a serious election for those of us who write motion pictures and television for a living.
That election is now in full swing. I am joining Dale Launer, Larry Gelbart and a host of others giving my endorsement to Eric Hughes. One group has run our Guild for literally decades. And not so well in recent years. We’ve had a number of embarrassments, resulting in government labor investigations (you can read about them on Eric’s site, linked above). Enough of that. This is the WGA, not the Teamsters. It’s time for a change. Send in your ballots. I’ve already voted for Eric.

What a cool Website Eric has! (Yours is cool, too, Roger)
btw, Eric, you’re a shoe-in w Roger backing you!
Ugh, this old organized labor stuff should be packed away. Could you imagine a linux code group electing something like this abomination?
You are in the 1950′s, please come up to date.
I have here four memos from Eric Hughes’ last producer complaining that he was being pressured by Michael Ovitz…
