…and I wouldn’t blame if you have… Glenn Reynolds and I will be on Hugh Hewitt’s show at around 4:15 PDT this afternoon to discuss the subject with Hugh. Hugh’s site has Internet radio connections for those like to listen that way.

Augh. Tried my local station; it was being drowned out by thunderstorms. Tried four on-line stations. Finally found you guys, via KRLA online.

Sounded great, man. It’s amazing that we lefties (and moderate lefties) are now listening to Hugh Hewitt and the like, isn’t it? It’s a brave new world, I guess.

I caught the last few moments of the interview; bravo zulu to the three of you!

Chris Matthews. Apologize. I don’t see that happening.

It was worth the effort, yeah.

But isn’t anything south of the Grand Concourse below the Mason-Dixon line?

Hey, Roger, I caught you and Professor Reynolds on rerun on the net. Great job. You’ve made the point before, and I think it’s a point that needs to be made often. You described the relationship between Saddam and al Qaeda as like the mafia. That’s it in a nutshell. So would anyone really want to send Joe Wilson to investigate the Gambino family? Sociopaths can have a field day with narcissists like Wilson.

There’s another interesting aspect to the MSM avoidance of discussing Wilson. He lied to many journalists. Wouldn’t any self repsecting journalist be mad as hell if a source lied to them about such a huge story and they printed the story? Maybe the question answers itself.

  10. Bush told the truth! Wouldn’t that be a nice headline on the front page of the New York Times? Won’t happen, of course.

So, how does Bush put it on the front page? He does have the bully pulpit, after all. How about a press conference to talk about it? Or talk about it on his Saturday radio address? Or make an add about it, pointing out that the opposition media blasts anti-Bush headlines, but buries pro-Bush stories? Or flood the Sunday talk shows with Condi, Powell, Rumi, Cheney to make a big point about how those 16 words were true, and that political opponent, Joe Wilson, lied.

Wish I had been able to hear you on Hugh’s show, sorry I didn’t.

Wilson has responded in this letter to Roberts. http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2004/07/16/wilson_letter/print.html

    Roger,

Great work – good to hear your voice again…

Re: lefties listening to Hewitt- I’m a rightie but I listen to NPR, local (Seattle) left radio shows and tried AirAmerica (too vacuous, had to give that one up) as well as Hewitt, Medved and Prager. You have to give all sides their shot, right, er correct?

Why should it be amazing that lefties listen to the other side? I thought lefties were the ones with the open-mind and declare all sides should be listened to. (Just teasing…)

Last night I was listening to John Loftus on the John Batchelor program on WABC (he’s on nationwide) Him and Batchelor were defending Wilson. Loftus said he got the evidence wrong in Niger for some good reasons he felt (he was only allowed to speak with retired officials) and that Wilson was a good guy. He said the White House was upset that he found a conclusion they didn’t like so they outed his wife in a delicate position. Plus, he said the part in the Senate report that said his wife had gotten him the job was a throw in by a few GOP Senators and is not true. He said Wilson de-classified some documents which Loftus viewed and which are going to be released soon which prove this and that the GOP is just trying to blacken Wilson to switch and bait the issue.

I tell you this because Loftus (who is a Democrat but likes Bush and Rummy but is not fond of Cheney) and Batchelor (probably a liberal Repub but likes Bush as well) are often supportive of many Repub issues and have on both Repubs and Dems on the show. They’re not what you could call anti-Repub partisans by any means.

I don’t like Wilson from what I have read however, I’m waiting to see more of what comes out before being so sure about the situation.

    Mike

PS I missed the 2nd 10 minute segment on it unfortunately.
