I think the person who produced the video is one of our very own commenters.
Hilarious. It is not hard to imagine that Hitler would be more passionate and concerned than our own fearless lawbreaking, scofflaw-ing, hate-mongering, class-warfar-ing, despicable tyrants, in political parties are. There is no semblance of shame in the whole corrupt lot of them.

Betting that you’ll be ok based on the fact that only one side opposes you is not what it used to be. It’s almost better to have enemies on the left and the right to start with, at least for the sake of this country. I can think of two particulars in this regard, one more general, the other more specific.
You gotts to ask yourself why Holder was confirmed as he was in the beginning, unless ruling class was counting on him making some kind of mistake like this down the road when they did. Pretty darn cynical though.
Obama may also go down in history as the greatest popularizer of Downfall west of the Atlantic.

Regarding the temptation to yield the constitutional roles of the Legislature and Judiciary in identifying and marking traitors for capital punishment to a committee of the Executive I was reminded of the works of Mary Renault, esp. “The Last of the Wine”, which gives a vivid account of the oppression that follows submission to the expediency of yielding the worst cases to an abusive and arbitrary power. Whether it is the Comité de salut public summoning you to the Conciergerie or the Thirty summoning you to Athens’ Stoa Poikile such regimes always begin by hunting down known public enemies and end up hunting their private enemies. We should be willing to unleash a terrible swift sword when needed but we should not hand it over unsupervised to the likes of Obama and Holder.

Operation Fast and Furious only starts to make sense once one realizes that it was devised as a pretext to violate the second amendment and disarm the taxpaying, law abiding segment of the citizenry. Since that end has failed for the time being the media doesn’t have to talk about that part anymore.
Hitler and his gang of National Socialist German Workers Partei were far more effective in disarming die deutshen citröen, but times have changed. The parody is the best dramatic portrayal of these failed means to disarm the citizenry, and destroy the second amendment in as brief a way as possible. And to think I was having my doubts about motion pictures ability to do that.

I was over at Instapundit and he has a link to the LA Times online that has a story on Fast and Furious. Since the L.A. Times is pretty liberal the fact that they are doing the story is, to me anyway, as important as the story itself.
Also there seems to be a number of dogs not barking in the night.

Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea have been on this since late 2010. CBS is a newcomer. Wake the hell up folks. This is Watergate with “accessory to murder” by agents of the US government. Including Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano and Hillary Clinton, and maybe higher. That the MSM has suppressed the facts (e.g. the NYT hit piece on Issa) is just a fraction of the story.

It appears there’s pretty good unanimity here that Holder blotted his copy book and that he’ll be fired at the very least, and perhaps even prosecuted. I don’t have a good gut feeling, though. I see Holder and Obama both skating even though I have no doubt they’re both implicated. They’re just too high up in the pecking order not to be protected — by politicians on both sides of the aisle, I’m afraid. Some subordinate heads might roll, but I don’t think Holder’s and Obama’s will. Pity, really. I was rather looking forward to a call to Roseanne Barr asking permission to borrow her guillotine for a couple of days and setting it up on the mall, then marching Holder and Obama up to it and putting it to good use. It would be a twofer: we’d get rid of two politicians AND two lawyers.

Just when I thought no more mileage could be gotten from that Downfall “Fuehrer Bunker” video, somebody comes along with something more. This is getting to be quite a cultural phenomenon.
This was really funny stuff for the first dozen or so Hitler Rant parodies on YouTube after the movie “Downfall.” Among the funniest were Hitler takes over at Texas A&M University, and Hitler being bugged by the zuzuvela noise reacket at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. I guess we could use the edited clip for any political purpose and if well done would still be funny. Yeah, the “still going to the range” is good.

I wonder how the Mexican People are taking this.
Basically, the Gov’t of the United States deliberately armed drug lords as they fought the Mexican Gov’t for control of large tracts of Mexican soil. In effect, we have supplied arms to rebels trying to overthrow the Mexican Gov’t (at least in specific areas).
If I were Mexican I’d be outraged by this, and demand my Gov’t take steps to deal with it.
The Mexican Government has been fairly muted in their protests, but their citizenry could force a change. What could they do? Maybe file a complaint with the OAS or UN, maybe something else. If Mexico brings this up in either of those forums the lid is off. It’ll have to be reported in this country.
Holder and company have a couple of things going for them.
I explained this to my apolitical wife, and she believes me, but was still incredulous. Her question was simple: why would anybody do something so stupid? It makes no sense at all.
We all have our ideas, but I hope the GOP doesn’t even attempt to answer this. The facts are plenty, without unprovable accusations of attempts to manipulate the gun control debate with the lives of Mexican and American citizens. If this can be proven, that’s a different story.
Until then, no speculation on motivation should be done. Let them explain their reasoning, and dig a bigger hole.
If Holder can twist this to be a hatchet job launched by conspiracy minded right wingnuts, he may get off.
It’s obvious the MSM wants to kill this, but there comes a tipping point where a story must be covered, and it looks like we’re about there. I hope the House doesn’t do something stupid to let Holder off the hook.
It’s certainly worth being reminded, George Soros actually worked for this guy.
