I do not like what is happening. When I said this nearly a decade ago, I was a voice crying out in the wilderness. Today, although many more people are “crying out,” our voices have not yet changed the course of certain historical events.
Pune, 125 miles away from Mumbai (which was the scene of a jihadic mass murder at the end of 2008), has just endured a horrific bombing of its own. And yes, the bomb went off right near another Jewish Chabad Center, near a Pune bakery which caters to tourists. Nine women, four of whom were foreigners, were murdered and 45 were injured. The Indian Home Minister told reporters that Pakistani-American businessman David Headley (aka Daood Sayed Gilani), who is now in American custody, is the very man who scouted out both the Mumbai and Pune locations. However, as yet, no one has claimed responsibility.

Dutchman Geert Wilders is concerned about jihadic terrorism and has produced a brief film, Fitna, showing just such scenes of horror—for which he has not only been slandered as a “right wing fascist and racist” but for which he has been placed on trial by the burghers of political correctness. His crime? Telling the “inconvenient” truth about jihadic Islam. Wilders the truth teller is being treated like a common criminal.
This past week, the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, a consummate intellectual and the author of critically acclaimed books, including Power, Faith, and Fantasy: America in the Middle East: 1776 To The Present, delivered a speech at the University of California at Irvine where he was menaced and heckled as a dirty Zionist Jew. The mainly Muslim students shouted: “Murderer!” “Killers!” “How many Palestinians did you kill?”
To me, it is like Durban all over again, but this time it’s a series of mini-exploding Durbans in which Israeli athletes must brace themselves for heckling when they compete internationally and Israeli officials dare not set foot in certain European countries lest they get arrested.

The past is considered meaningless. We only need to turn the Western nations into socialist paradises and everything will ultimately work out fine. The Islamic crazies will soon thereafter be incredibly impressed. They will sing Kumbaya and embrace radical egalitarian doctrines. Am I exaggerating? Nope, not even in the slightest.
Apartheid judge Goldstone not so long ago had the Serbs in his sights. Israel like the Serbs, is now being blamed for all evil. Yet it was the wannabe-”western” (read German) Slovenian politicians, the still-as-ever Nazi Croatian and Bosnian Muslims — like the “Palestinians” — were portrayed as the victims. Market place and pizzeria and wedding bombs –by Israelis? by Buddhists, by Hindus??? Mumbai, Pakistan, Iraq — Sarajevo. The problem we are all facing is not just one, IMHO, of human nature, but of a spiritual (for the two cannot be separated). Five years ago, on February 13, 2005, a woman died who had been given, I believe, many prophetic insights at a place named after mohammed’s daughter (yes, the lower casing of his name is on purpose as a sign of disrespect). Anyone unfamiliar with this event can google Fatima. Whether one chooses to believe or not that this woman had these revelations, I find it hard to see how she could so accurately describe the situation in the world today, since she was not a well-education person (she didn’t even know “Russia” was a nation when she was told in October 1917 that it would “spread its errors throughout the world.” Indeed, Russia was just beginning its atheistic walk, something a 9-year-old girl in Portugal could never have known). But what she was told in the 1980s that is extremely relevant for our times, is that because we have chosen to turn our backs on God, something must fill that void. And that “something” is found in two words: “diabolical disorientation.” Diabolical: “typical of the devil” (does islam come to mind?) and “wicked and cruel.” Disorientation: “to cause to lose one’s sense of direction or relationship with one’s surroundings.” For me, there could be no greater understanding of why you, I and others can so easily agree on the fact that we “do not like what’s happening” (i.e., the hopey/changey feeling of the “election” of a man with the same name and background as that of our enemies; i.e, communism, islam, false christianity). And in that, there is, I propose, only one answer for those who believe: to pray to God for His intervention to break that spell that has overcome the world today. It is the only way to end this road we are all on, for it surely won’t end with the election of another “leader” or more bombs. But instead, what most of us keep giving Him is more blasphemy and blaming Him for the sins of men. Until that ends, the world will find, as Israel found out so many times in her amazing history, that God will not restore His Hand of Protection until we turn with humbleness to Him. Then, and only then, will this attack against all Truth and human values, be broken.

The hardest enemies to deal with are those who have no motives. Name the names of St Patrick and St Brigid and all the saints of Ireland ancient and modern.
Drink a toast to all great Irishmen and women, past and present; all whose names you honour, all who did and said great things, all who lived and live loving and holy and gracious lives.
And say or sing in Irish (if you or other members of the party speak Irish) and in English some or all of the great invocation ‘The Deer’s Cry’, attributed to Patrick.

Two things stand out in Western nations:

Maybe the message is not getting across because of a basic misunderstanding: the West keeps thinking Mohammedans and their allies make war on the West for utilitarian reasons (to make the West do something it would not otherwise do), whereas they make war on the West for hedonistic reasons (to make themselves feel sanctified). In such hedonistic (non-utilitarian) wars the victim is a convenient prop for a magic playacting that makes the perpetrators and their audience back home feel good and increase their prestige (honor). Hedonistic wars are ruled by fantasy ideology, not by real conditions on the ground.

The Islamists have their feet in many, many doors, and they also have the ears of some influential public figures. I think that there is corruption at some very high levels of gov’t and that corruption has its origins with oil and the Saudis. The Islamic world has only one export, that of oil, and it is a commodity that has allowed this corruption to take hold and to grow. The Saudis and other Gulf states have a great deal of cash to throw around, and they’re using large quantities of it to buy influence in numerous U.S. circles from Gov’t to media to academia.

Phyllis, I am also tired. We are in danger of being confused to death. The haters of Israel and the United States have got so many people under their spell, including many former friends of mine. The plain truth is that people in public life in America are avoiding this subject like the plague.
Almost nobody has the guts to call it by its proper name or discuss its true nature.
This cannot be allowed to just go on unmentioned.
Evil does not just pass out of existence because we don’t enjoy thinking about it.
By the way, it is my considered opinion that when American women, en-masse, point to things like the “honor” killing of young women and the reappearance of the oppression of Jews and start DEMANDING the sort of protection they expect from say, being excluded from an all-male golf club, we will start seeing some motion on this subject.
This is not only a Jewish issue. The guys that like killing Jews really do want the women barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, literally — and damned quiet about it too.
And they are gaining ground daily right here in the US.

Second of all, I personally know that there is an Alliance between (some) Jews and Islamic people, AGAINST Christians (Christianity).
Third of all, up to now there are – commonly speaking – two different Areas, the Palestinian and the Israelian. The Existance of Political Powers like Knesset and Hamas or Palestinian Authority confirm the Division.
Fourth: even Islamic/-ist people call foreigner Critics of Islam “an Anti-semite”, saying that Islamic people are from Sem, too, and that Criticism of Islam is actually Anti-semitism. How should I reward your Insult toward me?
Fifth: Christians are persecuted in the Middle East as a whole. They are disappearing from there. The Fact that they have to live there under an Islamic Government (Palestine) or under a Jewish Government (Israel) is another Expression of the Fact that they’re having an hard Time (see my Second Point).
Sixth: I don’t want here to justify my Point of View on the whole Matter, I took part to Phyllis Chesler’s Blog – and not just – for some Time now, and I already expressed my Positions. Therefore, I repeat my First Point.
