Do people really understand what is going on in our world right now? That language is being used to confuse us? America is the greatest “terrorist,” Israeli Jews are the “Nazis,” non-Muslim pro-western Brits are called “right wing fascists” because a small number stood up to 200 angry and armed Muslim Brits in front of a Birmingham mosque, parliamentarian Geert Wilders is considered a “racist Islamophobe” and faces a criminal trial because he tells the truth about Islamist jihad.
And, by the way, the so-called “fascist” Brits held aloft an Israeli flag and signs that said “Extremists Out,” “Britain Safe.” One woman interviewed said: “If people come here they should respect out laws.” Yes, this group may also be allied with genuine Nazi-era style racist-fascists—but then again, they may not be. The problem is that what they are saying has merit.
The Orwellian doublespeak (or Newspeak) does not stop here. People insist that honor killings which, according to my research, are mainly a Muslim-on-Muslim and male-on-female crime have absolutely nothing to do with Islam; that Islam is a religion of peace; that 9/11, 3/11, 7/7—have nothing to do with Saudi Arabia or al-Qaeda, that Arab and south Asian Muslims did not fly planes into American buildings and embassies, blow up trains in Madrid and London, perpetrate a massacre in Mumbai.
Naw. The Zionists and the CIA really did it all. But if the Arab and south Asian Muslims did do it too—they did so for a noble reason, to protest the Zionist “occupation” of disputed lands, long claimed as “Palestinian” by the Arab League, the United Nations, international human rights groups, and the western intelligentsia.
Arthur Koestler, in The God That Failed describes the intellectuals who joined the communist party in the 1930s as naive idealists and those who recruited and used them as carrying on a “white slave traffic whose victims were young idealists flirting with violence.” Or, as my friend and computer genius, Mitchell Price, has put it: Those Americans who keep giving a free pass to jihadists and Islamists are flirting with “the barbarian within.”

The news about the Florida court and Rifqa Bary is terrifying. Everything possible should be done to publicize this information.

Send Rifqa to Australia. She is considered an apostate and crim. She will fit in nicely here, and she can disappear in the outback for a dammned good long time. She does need protection, and I would hope there is an underground railway for muddled Muslims as there was for blacks all those years ago. Maybe some Canadian will take her under their wing. Oh. Wait a minute. There are honour killings there too. Keep her away from the Kingston canal.

Broadly speaking, 9/11 produced two instinctive responses in the thinking population, which then became political positions that have continued to diverge and harden with the years.
The realists instantly understood that the trade tower attacks were the tipping point of an already metastasizing jihad against the West, a jihad that had now to be resisted on all fronts: the physical jihad by combat, and the soft jihad– the push for Islamization of the West through suppression of “offensive” speech and a gradual imposition of shariah law –by words and civic actions.
A more populous and culturally influential group, our liberal dreamers — mainstream media, intelligentsia, liberal Christian and Jewish clergy and most Western politicians — were too besotted by utopian multicultural ideals to grasp the nettle of Islamism as a phenomenon beyond rational means of containment.
The realists understood that the survival of Western civilization was at stake. The dreamers understood that the success of the ideal of tolerance was at stake. The realists understood that the West was the victim of 9/11. The multiculturalists understood that Muslims were the victims (or soon would be) of our racist society’s Islamophobia.
Hard evidence validating realists’ fears continues to mount across the West, while no evidence has materialized to justify the dreamers’ fears.
In 2006 there were 8,000 hate crimes reported to the FBI in the United States. By far, the most — 2,640 — were directed against blacks. Gay males suffered 747 hate-motivated crimes. Only 156 incidents involved Islamophobia, a trivial figure in a population of 300 million.
Islamophobia amongst Western non-Muslims is highly exaggerated, but anti-Westernism amongst radical Muslims is not. Trouble is, the evidence of jihadism in our midst is deemed inadmissible by the dreamers who preside over the court of public opinion. The dreamers’ strategy is to brand realists as Islamophobes, while promoting an unnecessary and unseemly Islamophilia.
This Islamophilia is urged upon us by omission and commission, and in ways both benign and wicked: from CBC’s intelligence-insulting series, Little Mosque on the Prairie, to the singling out of Muslims from other religious groups for government outreach programs, to — most perniciously– indulgence by our human rights commissions of hate-filled anti-Western rhetoric by imams, while demonizing heritage Canadians who “offend” Muslims with facts and statistics.
One assiduously realistic witness to the truth about Islamism is Bruce Bawer, Oslo-based author of the newly-published book, Surrender: Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom. He spoke in Ottawa Monday; he’ll be speaking tonight in Montreal, and tomorrow in Quebec City. (See http://www.pointdebasculecanada.cafor details.) Bawer is a gay activist who abandoned what he considered a homophobic U. S. in 1998 to breathe progressive Europe’s more “tolerant” air. Instead what he found there was an Islam based homophobia far more menacing than anything he’d experienced in Christian America.
His eyes now opened to the effects of an increasingly Islamified Europe, Bawer became the poster boy for the proverbial liberal mugged by multicultural reality. The epiphany resulted in his first book, While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam Is Destroying the West from Within, a withering critique of Europe’s pusillanimous submission, in the name of multiculturalism, to virulent misogyny, anti-Semitism and homophobia.
Today Bawer is recognized as one of the most persuasive members of a small but courageous band of politically incorrect brothers and sisters: brilliant writers like Bat Ye’or (Eurabia), Andrew Bostum (The Legacy of Jihad), Melanie Phillips (Londonistan), Claire Berlinski (Menace in Europe) and Canadians Mark Steyn (America Alone) and David Solway (The Big Lie), to name but a few. These Cassandras have difficulty finding uncowed publishers willing to back them. They risk libel suits and even physical harm, but they soldier on in the name of truth and Western survival.
There is hope that some influential dreamers are waking up from their eight-year nap. None of the books mentioned above was reviewed by The New York Times, including Bawer’s first book. But his new book, Surrender, was given a positive review this summer. The review began with these words: “There is no more important issue facing the West than Islamism … and there is no more necessary precondition to countering that threat than understanding it … But before we do any of that, we have to agree that the threat exists.”
The review ends: “Surrender is, at times, hard going … [because] Bawer is unquestionably correct, and that fact is quite simply terrifying.”

Re. the Muslim ‘prayers’ (massed threat display) that is planned for Capitol Hill, Washington, on 25 September. (I am reminded of the mass Muslim male threat display – oops, ‘prayers’ – that took place in the piazza in front of the Duomo in Milan, in January this year, as part of a let’s-hate-Israel jihad incitement ‘protest’).
First: ALL non-Muslims of every non-Muslim faith should pray that something happens to spoil this event – for example, drenching rain all day, nice and cold, with an icy wind, would be good.
Second: they want 50 000 people for their mass threat display? OK – ACT for America and friends should be hitting the phones, emails and social networks and raising the alarm, with a view to rustling up *at least* 70 000 people, preferably 100 000, and ideally from all non-Muslim backgrounds – Jewish, Christian (need lots of Copts and Assyrians), Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, secular, black (throw in some Sudanese Christians), white and brown – who can turn up *first* on Capitol Hill on 25 September, with plenty of banners and flags, and leaflets to hand out to passers-by, leaflets that give the facts about sharia, jihad, killing of apostates, etc. Get there early in the morning; march around the Capitol and sing anthems and bless the USA ; and then settle in to wait and watch. Let the Muslims see that there are a *lot* of Americans who are onto their little game.
And some people should bring dogs, if they have dogs that can handle crowd situations. Put those right at the front. Dogs are supposed to scramble Muslim ‘prayers’.

I’m not in favor of any particular religious group doing that, but I’d sure like to see it just to point out the hypocrisy and the attacks being made on Christians (I’m not a Christian, by the way — but there’s no doubt they’re being continuously maligned)while at the same time there is “protection” of Islamist political bullying.
The idea of all religionists showing up on September 25 is fantastic, and I do hope that happens. But as a special event for themselves only, a group of many religions would never get the attention in the media in the form of attacks that a purely Christian group would — which — if it could only happen a few days or a week after the Islamist event, would make the clear hypocrisy of the media blare out, besides making a strong statement to those who think their “time has come.”

Within the Great Satan, we are all inside the house of war. The Ummah makes war on many fronts. CAIR, the Muslim brotherhood, Hamas, Hizboallah, and the nice followers of allah in New York and Denver they are rounding up as we write are consistant examples of Islam.
Some lovers of allah the moon god make war by attacking the freedom of speech with lawyers, while others plan murder for the infidel in subways, and in schools like Belson, Russia.

Europe fought against Islamic conquest for over 1,000 years, stopping the Ottoman Turks from entering western Europe on Sept 11, 1683 at the gates of Vienna by only the slimmest of margins.

I feel that the need for oil fuels this madness and we should do everything we can to stop remove the west’s dependence on Muslim oil and also the hijra.

Perhaps appeals can delay Rifqa Bary from being returned to Ohio until she is over eighteen. She needs to be protected.
Whether this young girl was coerced into leaving her family or whether she truly was under threat of harm, it is the obligation to the United States to investigate the matter.
This is a terrible thing to wonder if parents would harm their child in the name of their religion. The repercussions of the War on Terror are being felt in every part of our lives it seems, and Islam is having a harsh light shining on it. From children being raised to become suicide killers, to text books and mosques teaching and preaching vile hatred against Jews, Infidels and the West, it seems that we are constantly walking a finer and finer line between holding onto our freedom and becoming a police state where no one is sure about anything and our freedoms and privacy are being eroded away.
Once again Phyllis cuts through the BS with a hot knife and calls a spade a spade. The truth may hurt, but it is still the truth, and there is a fundamental flaw in Islam, at least as practiced and taught in the east, that needs to be addressed directly and with facts. Is poverty mixed with theocracy the cause? Maybe so, but the result is a large segment of the earth’s population that cannot seem to accept the rest of us as equals. Why should we try any longer to understand them? Seems to me like they should try a little harder to understand non-Mulsims or be dealt with accordingly.
I’m afraid this one is going to be ugly. The courts will never keep this girl away from her parents: we’ve seen cases here in the states where parents kill one child, and are given another one back from foster care, with the admonition to “try again”. Given how terrified everyone in the establishment is right now of being thought anti-Muslim, there’s no way a judge is going to do anything other than give the girl back to her parents. Then, either nothing happens, or she is killed. If nothing happens, we’ll all breathe a sigh of relief. If dad kills her, we’ll constantly hear that this isn’t typical of Islam, and most Muslims aren’t violent. I’m not sure how this could turn out well, frankly, other than if the dad turns out to be understanding enough to accept that his daughter has changed religions. Somehow, that’s the one I doubt the most.
You assume Rifqa Bary’s father follows the the Quran to the tee. After seeing how crazy jesus juice has made her I don’t think her father does at all. Of course, i’m not saying honor killings aren’t taught in islam or are not carried out. However, What I am saying is the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s evidence does not agree with your evidence that honor killings are allowed in the faith of Islam. If you can not connect that DOT you do not have a case.

I’m also not saying the “Law Enforcement” has in general disproven “honor killings in Islam”. They have not, they can not, and will not because they do indeed exist. But they have disproven Rifqa Bary. She was not a case for honor killing. We should be upset with her for making a mockery out of a very real subject. Now the media will use her as their pin up girl who cried wolf. An real honor killings will be ignored by journalist.

If that girl was that terrified, it’s a sure bet that what she’s heard all her life from her family, relatives, and ‘Sunday School’ is that Muslims who leave Islam are undeserving of any humanity.
Now, while it is certainly true that not all people who leave Islam are at risk from their co-religionists, it was a strong possibility in her particular case.
30. It’s more than that. The so-called peaceful Muslims are a front to fund and supply the jihadists. In addition to putting up a facade of peace, they see it as a religious duty to pay not less than 1/40 of their income to Islamic charities, most of which fund jihad, using whatever legitimate humanitarian purposes they may have as a front. They also tend to have lots of kids (not that I have any objection to large families, but many of these kids will grow up to be soldiers in the jihad).
All Muslims aren’t terrorists just as all Nazis weren’t murderers but Islam is terrorists and fascist.
We are at war, not with Islam, but with a political organization of psychopathic vermin who realize that their most potent weapon is the progressive media that seems to worship the “cause” that they represent. Any reference to Islam by these criminals is blasphemy. How can people of the Muslim faith sit quietly while their religion is being demonized by these acts of barbarism? The cowardice displayed by the “soldiers of Islam” is evident in their tactics (i.e. school bus bombings, church bombings, market bombings) the murder of innocents, should make Mohamed proud. Stand up for your faith. Speak up and help purge this disease that has infected your religion and regain your faith. Christians are not a group of people bent on conquest. People of different faiths need not seek the destruction of their counterparts. We are all neighbors on this planet who can benefit from each others different backgrounds and cultures.

Swami Vivekananda, in his 1895 book “Raja Yoga” nailed it on the head, when he wrote about the dangers of stumbling upon higher states of consciousness without the proper preparation, akin to what happened to Hindu Pundit Gopi Krishna. Vivekanandaji wrote in page 80:
