The Myth of the ‘Homegrown Terrorist’
We are guided by myths more often than by reason. Nothing new there; man is a myth-making animal. Myths spring up from our collective unconscious, they cover the globe, and they shape our thoughts and actions. The great philosophers and the great psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychoanalysts tried hard to “free us” from myths so that we could properly understand our world and ourselves. Spinoza thought that emotions were the result of unclear ideas (I don’t agree, and neither does Barbara, the very clear object of my strongest emotions, but I digress).
Good news: the doctor is in, and he’s going to help you. He’s more modest about his abilities than the great thinkers and healers, so he’s just going to help you understand our world. As for understanding yourself, well, maybe Obamacare will pay for it.
The Myth of the Day is: the “homegrown terrorist.” Sometimes he or she’s called “self-made,” but it all comes to the same thing. The idea is that there are normal Americans who, on their own, and certainly without any input from foreign countries or terrorist groups, up and become terrorists.
Such persons exist — from the Unabomber to those who have slaughtered innocents in our schools or movie theaters — but they are not the sorts that I’m talking about, the sorts the myth commonly refers to. The myth and the phrase are typically applied to actual or would-be killers who are motivated by strong ideological or religious beliefs. Most of the time, the myth is used to suggest that the bad guys in question don’t have any links to our foreign enemies. They’re just Americans gone bad.
Ask yourself the obvious question: how did they go bad? From JFK’s assassin to the Fort Hood killer, most of them found meaning in life in violent ideologies that turned them against their countrymen and, profoundly, took them away from home.
Foreign ideologies. Lee Harvey Oswald was a Communist, Nidal Hasan was a radical Muslim. Both killed Americans in America, after coming to identify with doctrines that were anything but homegrown. Moreover, in recent years, establishing contact with foreign forces has become a piece of cake. We do it online, we don’t have to travel overseas to get our indoctrination (although, as if to prove the point, a considerable number of them do). Even when it “happens here,” the indoctrination more often than not takes place at the feet of foreign teachers and trainers. Take the radical mosques, for example. Most of them are funded with Saudi money, their texts come from the Saudi Kingdom, and their imams are trained by radical Saudi Wahhabis.

I believe that Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn not only were homegrown terrorists, but that they...and their ilk...have spawned the unholy invitation to do more of it, by others.
I submit that Michael Moore and Oliver Stone and Sean Penn and the Agenda Media and the Inversion Narrative by the left...is an engraved invitation to take shots at us...by any (and all) means necessary.
"Our" media (which some still insist on calling "mainstream" despite the manner in which it daily roots for our destruction and wishes for our annihilation) has an agenda to drag our good name through the mud and heap slanders upon us, while simultaneously whitewashing every evil by our enemies.
They openly root against us. They trump up false and phony charges against us. They paint us as evil and our enemies as "chickens coming home to roost".
Terrorism does NOT start, begin or emanate from the explosion of a homemade bomb. It is set by a timer which begins ticking when we ignore the treason in our own backyard. That timer has been ticking for over 40 years. We have ignored it at our peril.
One can separate the nuances of hatred between radical Islam and the radical left. But you couldn't fit a slip of paper between their black souls, nor their evil intent. We would do well to awaken from our slumber and recognize that it is our own leftists who have brought evil to our shores and they remain as vigilant as ever to achieve our destruction.
So, http://zenpundit.com/?p=21685 is something that will divide.
That is because this person was found to be not involved in any Ricin mailing. Another false story from the Liberals among us.

The U.S. Nation of Islam has been converting in U.S. Prisons for decades. Nonody 'really' knows what the product of that has been or will be.
Political and religious based myths are manufactured intentionally and self servingly to motivate and recruit for radical activism and manipulate the shaping of outcomes. These myths are rarely initiated from ones independent reasoning of collective information or arbitrarily from the collective unconscious.
The U.S. has become the global capital for the religious and political myth market. Theres a more applicable and precise term for such myths: propaganda.
I think using the term 'homegrown' it is being mischaracterized. We are a *free nation* of people with the freedoms to reason and act on variable sources and forms of information whether fairly and acturately represented or propagandized. Americans have the freedoms too and often do, ally with many religious and political philosophical positions of global interests. For example, lots of Americans ally with the geopolitical interests of Israel and Judism while rejecting Islam. Some will ally with Islam and reject Judism. Both are global influences which can affect the wide diversity of Americanism within its population. Myths and proaganda abound from every crook and corner today.
It's the old saying (with obvious theological allowances) "A great example of Christianity is Mother Theresa and for Islam it's Osama Bin Laden"
And what do you think 'redistribution of wealth is'? Read our Constitutioin and see if you can find any hint of Welfare, Food Stamps, three years of unemployment or what ever other government method of spreading the tax payers money around is, it is all theft from that person who earned it. Governments are instituted among people for the purpose of protecting private property, your earnings are your private property. When the government steals your private property so they can award it to some political croney or voter then that is theft or you are a slave to the bureaucrat. Either way it is an action outside of our Constitution. Obama and his thugs are playing this game in a steady stream of corruption.
Soon people are going to wake up to reality......

9/11 was a' long time ago' so i don't know why it is even brought up.
Even if you accept that debatable and ill informed comment about creating Arab terrorism does that justify IRA terrorism today?
