I guess it’s a friendly gesture from Condi Rice to Obama, huh?  Once we open our “interest section” in Iran, he’ll have a place to stay when he goes to Tehran.  I wonder if this means the Iranians are telling us to ignore their public statements saying that they won’t talk to us until we’ve withdrawn from the Middle East and broken all support to Israel…or whether we’ve already agreed to that.

Meanwhile, the Iranians continue to push for some spectacular terrorist success in Iraq, where they and their al Qaeda and Mahdi Army allies have been humiliated by American and Iraqi forces.  As Bill Roggio reports in the linked article, we’ve captured 8 Iranian officers and killed one more in Iraq the last six days.  He notes that American officials say that our intel on Iran-in-Iraq is getting better, which means that those captured Quds Force (often misdescribed as an “elite” force, when in reality it just refers to those Revolutionary Guards guys operating outside Iran’s borders) are telling us quite a bit.  I suppose it’s only a matter of a few days before some Congressman, Senator or intellectual protests our interrogation methods, and calls for an investigation.

Because, as I’ve noted before, we really don’t want to know what the Iranians are up to.  But there’s a lot of information out there that shows what the mullahs are doing, and some day our current leaders will have to answer the old questions:  what did you know and when did you know it and why didn’t you do anything against a regime that has made death–in Iran and wherever our soldiers are to be found–its main activity?

Two questions: What are the chances that A) a President Obama keeps Petraeus on at CentCom for the full normal three-year command, and B) what are the chances that, if he does, Gen. Petraeus succeeds in appealing to whatever ounce of pragmatism Obama has within him, and we do not entirely submit to the mullahs?

If she could do it without losing face, Condi Rice would switch to teh Democrat Party and vote for Hussein Obama. She is not prone to getting that tingle up her leg whenevr she thinks of Hussein. She has had the same feelings way back when, when she was a student in Scandinavia, rumours are she had special affinity for an Iranian male classmate from the city of Ghazvin who was studying in the same college as Condi.

So perhaps, Condi is even looking to stay in the “Interest Section” in Tehran while she herself travels there later on. Of course, she would be allowed to venture out for ‘personal time’.

One cannot expect anything else from an anti-Iran/pro-Israel figure like Ledeen and his blind followers.Neo-Conservatism is dead. Too many chances missed by this administration to normalize relations with Iran. Somehow this zionist-inflicted admin. saw this as being against the interest of a corrup Israel. Ofcourse, the real interest of the american people was not important to Ledeen,Perl,Wolfowitz et. al.

Well, finally, we hit Syria for sending in terrorists inside Iraq. F-i-n-a-l-l-y! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,444101,00.html

But now this begs the question: Why are we shy from hitting Iranian regime even harder since they have been exporting terrorists and IRGC trainers a 100-fold into southern Iraq? Why Condi Rice? Why Pres. Bush who is hanging onto Condi’s skirt hemline on Iran?

Why the unequal treatment between Syria and Iran?

Where’s Patton when we need him?

Too, is not marvelous that Ahmadi-Nejad is on the injured player list just days before the US elections and as Israeli elections are being announced? Look for full, robust recovery as soon as the elections are finished.

Ledeen is pro-Iranian people. Truthseeker (sic) is pro-Iranian Ayatollahs, the ones who are oppressing, impoverishing, murdering, and endangering the Iranian people. Go peddle your delusions at Lew Rockwell.

Truthseeker (sic) reminds me that there is something about armed Jews defending themselves against genocide that makes many people, like him, very nervous. Indeed, it can make them become hysterical. I can only wonder why.

One real interest of the USA is to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power. Iran has been our enemy, by the choice of the Ayatollahs, for almost 30 years. Enemies should be treated as enemies. Unfortunatly, there is a large fraction of people in America who sympathize with our enemies and want the defeat of the USA, hoping that will help overthrow liberty here. It’s the return of the Copperheads.
