Foreigners think of Canada as a nation untouched by terrorism, and it’s true that we’ve been (mostly) spared the sorts of atrocities experienced in New York City, London and Bali, to name three relatively recent targets.

Yet even many Canadians don’t give much thought to the domestic terrorism we’ve been subjected to in the not so distant past:

The FLQ’s campaign of mayhem occurred in a previous generation; millions of us probably haven’t even heard of the Wimmin’s Fire Brigade, or just barely recall the Squamish Five.

We also assure ourselves that “terrorism never accomplishes anything anyway,” ignoring the obvious:

Quebec now gets trillions of dollars in glorified protection money from the ROC (the “rest of Canada”) lest those violent separatists get restless again.

The Brigade’s fire-bombing of “XXX” video stores ushered in tighter Canadian laws against porn, while the Litton Systems bombing cost them their contract to produce cruise missile guidance systems for the U.S. military.

Interestingly, all these events were undertaken by crazy white lefties; the plans of belligerent Muslims to behead the prime minister or sabotage a commuter train were headed off by the authorities.

Meanwhile, a new generation of crazy white lefties (and their aboriginal allies) are candidly declaring their plans to use eco-terrorism to get their way, most recently in a cover story in the Canadian equivalent of The Village Voice.

File a HRC complaint against this young lady. All you need to do is feel threatened by her speech. They did it to Ezra and Mark Steyn. Anytime these saboteurs say these things, file with the HRC. These are clearly menacing words. Make these lefties feel the pain of their beloved system.

To bad we can't arrest posters here for "provocation" like you apparently feel is acceptable in a free society. I grew up many years ago on the Canadian border and now I find myself wondering what the hell happened to you guys. The Canadians I knew were practical, self-reliant, down to earth and had a great sense of humor. Bitter, deluded and hair trigger angry at anyone who disagrees with your naive and dangerous world view is no way to go through life my friend.

Just ignore bulbulican. He's one of my longtime stalkers.

Here are the actual details:

A "police instruction" not to fly a Canadian flag is meant to be defied. At least that's what a real man and not a lefty beta male would do.

Our own eco-terrorists were running wild throughout the nineties. State authorities claimed helplessness because the "ELF's were loosely affiliated and bounced around a lot. The feds couldn't be bothered. And so it went: burning ski slope developments, trashing laboratories, terrorizing scientists and so on. Finally, after 9/11, GWB must have made a five-minute phone call and suddenly the FBI and the U.S. Marshals were on the case. "Domestic terrorists" were being taken seriously and with a little elementary, interstate police work, a few of the ringleaders were tracked down and the adorable little scamps were presented with some adult-sized punishments. They sang like canaries and some more people were rounded up. They were sent off to do serious hard time in actual prisons. There was a spate of Rolling Stone, Mother Jones and The Nation articles lionizing our controversial heroes but that only served to get the message out. This had a magical effect and the armies of green saboteurs and monkey-wrenchers seemingly evaporated or found other outlets.

If the powers-that-be in loonie-land have decided that the goateed, birkenstocked, knit-chullo cap-wearing lily-white bomb-throwers and their get-out-of-jail card wielding "First Nations" allies can go about their antics un-impeded, I can only guess that grassroots political pressure is the only answer. Either that, or they actually kill someone or damage something belonging to Warren Buffet.

Have you forgotten Wiebo Ludwig? I don't think he was a "leftist" but he was adored by the CBC and other left-wing environmental fanatics.
