If I could choose three historical figures with who to sit down over a beer and solicit wisdom, and just bask in their presence, they would be: Jesus, George Washington, and Whittaker Chambers. I would hope that some of their goodness would rub off on me somehow.

Yeah, a gentle dig at Palin, and others who don't get the point that I'm emphasizing with the selection of this passage -- the tragic view of human nature.
