I want them to film the Akalabeth, Isildur’s arriveal in Middle Earth, the establishment of the realms of Numenor in exile, and the first War of the Ring. That’s the real “prequel” to the LotR and the Hobbit.
Then they could film the Silmarillion if they have time.
And they would have a free hand, since it’s not that sketched out. Purists will scream bloody murder. I suppose they’ll have the elf-maid (forgot her name) joining the battle anganst Moloch, a la Jasmine. (You noticed they threw extra stuff in LotR for Arwen – I think that’s her name, it’s been a while – to do?)
