‘Angels,’ The Questionable First Single from The XX’s Sophomore Album Coexist

I don't have a good feeling for this new effort from one of my favorite bands...

The XX releases a follow-up to 2009′s self-titled debut on September 11.

So far I’m not impressed. The new single embedded above makes me fall asleep — and not in the way that an XX should. It’s boring and bland, not the catchy, chill of their previous work.

Let’s hope the album offers more catchy tracks like these:
