A great story teller.
One of America’s best writers; his bright artistry and authoritative visions are unsurpassed in fantastic literature. For young minds tuned into that sort of thing, Bradbury was like a jump-start into possibility.
Goodbye, Mister Bradbury. You belong to a small group of writers that should be missed.
And so we shall. While reading of Martian days gone by, of the smell of crisp autumn leaves…
In my youth “The Martian Chronicles” taught me so much about humanity’s foibles.
Rest in peace, Mr. Bradbury.
I used to read The October Country all the time when I was in grade school. I’d scribble “Who wields me wields the world” on all my notebooks, after the inscription in “The Scythe.” That man told a darn fine story . . .
