An unfunny ending to a very funny movie.
I loved the film when it was politically incorrect. It was truly funny. However, the ‘speech’ at the end tried to make a lefty political point and, as you say, became schizophrenic and very unfunny.
Can a comedy be a morality play? I don’t think so. At least not when it turns left.
