Discouraging Illegal Immigration and Lower Unemployment
One of the erroneous claims that is constantly heard from those who oppose enforcement of our immigration laws and support a general amnesty for illegal aliens is that the presence of illegals does not affect our record high unemployment rate. Supposedly, illegals do jobs that Americans just don’t want to do. But the facts show that may not be the case and that detaining and deporting illegal aliens, as well as punishing employers who knowingly hire illegals, could open up jobs for unemployed Americans.
More proof of that in Alabama, whose controversial immigration law became effective on September 1, 2011 (only a few of its provisions have been enjoined by a federal court). Its most important sections are in place: 1) a mandate that employers use the E-Verify system and lose their business license if they knowingly hire illegals, and 2) a requirement that local police officers check the immigration status of individuals they arrest if they have a reasonable suspicion that they are in the country illegally.
Amidst reports that illegals started leaving the state as soon as the law became effective, the Daily Caller reports that in September, the state unemployment rate was an appalling 9.8 percent. In two months, even as the Obama administration tried to stop enforcement of Alabama’s new law, the unemployment rate has fallen 1.1 percentage points to 8.7 percent. According to state news reports, this reduction is because “the state’s employers opened up jobs to Americans after shedding illegal immigrants.”
The unemployment rate in just one Alabama county fell 0.7 percentage points just in November, from 8.1 percent to 7.4 percent. Marshall County is an agricultural county with several chicken processing plants. With illegal immigrants leaving the county, over 600 legal residents have been hired. One of the county’s council members, Chuck Ellis, points to the drop in the unemployment rate as “proof that people – American Citizens [and] legal migrants, have suffered at the hands of politicians who choose politics over economics.” According to the Daily Caller story, Ellis was quoted as saying “Is that a difference of great significance? Ask those families [whose members are now employed] for an answer as they undertake the Christmas season.”
More evidence that part of solving the economic morass that we are in, and reducing our high unemployment, is enforcing our immigration laws, securing our border, and finding, detaining, and deporting illegal aliens.
While I partially agree with the critics that deport 10 million ilegals does not = 10 million jobs…it would go a long way. Just “strickly” enforce the laws we have, impose e-verify and the peoblem would work out in 5 yrs. It ain’t that hard unless you want to get re-elected.
Only people with a massive agenda can pretend to not understand 2+2=4. Every single illegal in this country should be booted out. When did the problems of Latin America become a mandate for the average American. I sympathize with the plight of Latin America in many places but I will not have those problems forced on me and be called a racist in my own country if I object.
We have a sanctuary President taking credit for deporting illegals when in fact it is simply a bureaucracy carrying on without special intervention from Obama. What Obama is doing is extending sympathy and the borders of America out to include those who do not merit it. Obama showed his true color when he turned the inauguration into an NAACP convention and the DOJ effectively into a branch of the NAACP by installing Eric Holder, a confirmed racialist, as head man there.

It’s difficult to comprehend the deep seated fraud that surrounds us, especially where illegal immigration is concerned. Learning more about it and the collusion that springs from both political parties, is significantly heavily disguised by the Liberal press and other media. Searching the Internet can be difficult, but by turning to “American Patrol” website, the truth and lies are separated in reports, articles and commentary from reliable sources. You will not find extremist University Professors relaying to us, that the economy will grow if we coddle those who broke our sovereign laws. The first real mass amnesty as the 1986 bill was one downright lie, with not just those who are already here, but the millions who will come under the policy of FAMILY UNIFICATION or known more legally as Chain migration. That too became an uncontrollable issue, as eventually we had to support the older family members, as their original sponsors usually failed their obligation.

We call it illegal immigration for a reason and our Federal Government has failed all of us in not putting and end to this illegal immigration by enforcing our immigration laws. The illegal aliens who don’t have our jobs are using this country as a welfare country with their anchor babies, (illegal alien children). These illegal aliens MUST be forced back to their home country.
Illegal immigration is a cancer, it has to be eradicated not tolerated.
