Don’t Try This At Home Kids
And don’t try this at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier:
Two women have been placed on unpaid leave from their jobs after a Facebook photo taken at Arlington National Cemetery angered thousands online and led to a petition for their resignation.
Lindsey Stone, of Plymouth, Mass., was on a work-paid trip to Arlington National Cemetery in October when she posed for the photo in question, CBS Boston reported. In the photo, Stone stands at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider next to a sign that reads “Silence and Respect,” giving the middle finger and pretending to yell. She then posted the picture to her Facebook page.
* * * * * *
“Whoa whoa whoa… wait,” she wrote on Oct. 20, according to Gawker. “This is just us, being the douchebags that we are, challenging authority in general. Much like the pic posted the night before, of me smoking right next to a no smoking sign. OBVIOUSLY we meant NO disrespect to people that serve or have served our country.”
Obviously.

Sometimes when you “challenge authority,” authority challenges back. (Also known as the Jim Croce Memorial “Don’t tug on Superman’s cape” rule of thumb.)
Only those whose kindergartenish worldview is entirely formed from Prius bumper sticker morality such as the hapless Ms. Stone — any relation to Oliver perchance? — would find that surprising.
P.S. Welcome back to your regular blog, Ed. You were sorely missed!
The solution is simple. Next time Americas are kidnapped, assaulted, or attacked, push these two out in front, then announce we won’t be defending them.
Obviously these two c—- and b—–, really need to be slapped around a bit by a good man, who can teach them to keep their pathetic little estrogen-addled brains in line, and knock them back to the kitchen and bedroom where they belong, while they still have a few teeth left.
Oh…..! Umm…. OBVIOUSLY I mean no disrespect to women in general, many of whom are quite intelligent and capable. That’s just me, being a “douchebag”.
(So, we’re cool, right? No need for criticism, that’s kinda how it works now, idnit?)
LOL! Very good!
Ah, value-free education and culture come home to roost … well, except those perennial favorites “compassion” and “questioning authority”.
