Quote of the Day
August 10th, 2012 - 5:00 pm
Obama said, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we’ll bring a gun.” I fear that Romney, because of who he is, will bring a copy of How To Win Friends and Influence People.
– Ricochet commenter Tom Lindholtz, in response to Peter Robinson’s post, “Mitt, It Just Ain’t Working.”

– opening line of all the Obama whores in the media: “Trailing in the polls, Romney…”
I dunno. There can always be other attack dogs (v.p. Candidate, super PAC) while Mittens acts as the kindly grandfather who’s going to fix everything. After 4 years of Obama drama, low key competence sounds refreshing. I’m tired of being fired up angry.
Team Romney is like a football coach who goes into a game with their first 20 or so offensive plays scripted, and come hell or high water, they’re runnin’ those 20 plays.
They do not change course easily or quickly, though given the questionable nature of some of the recent poll numbers (Obama +11 with independents? Really?) dropping the game-plan completely this far out from the election is unwise. But the do need to get back into a more proactive mode, instead of being reactive and seemingly getting a case of the vapors every time they discover Team Obama would be low enough to come out with an ad claiming Mitt killed a woman with cancer or feasted on an orphanage full of babies at a Bain Capital banquet (OK, they’re probably holding that last one until after the RNC convention).
The medium IS the message.
So, if we see a November headline, “Romney UNEXPECTEDLY wins”…it would be consistent with the propagandized “knockoff news” from the left.
However, Romney is not the hare in this race. He is the tortoise. The leftists will cheat, lie, steal, pull every underhanded trick imaginable and some not easily imagined.
In the end, it don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing…voter.
The Romney campaign knew Obama would define him early in the process. But they were not prepared to counter the Richie-Rich image. Now it’s in place. Two of Romney’s top people went out early and talked about “etch-a-sketch” possibilities and, this week, about how if the guy’s wife had cancer in Massachusetts, Romney-care would have covered her. Pathetic.
These campagin people need to be removed NOW!
This is exactly why I voted for Gingrich. If we are going to go down to Obama and his MSM…at least we should have a fighter.
Romney IS a boring white guy…who is going to take this crap for the next three months and not even call out the lies and the media liars.
He has very little time to turn this around.
