Yes, If It’s Effective. Next Question?
Back in 2008, in a column for the Journolist-tained Politico, Reason magazine’s Michael Moynihan noted that the left had transformed themselves into “a virtual Bletchley Park of racial cryptographers teasing out the sinister motives and subtexts of McCain’s campaign advertising.”
And they’re off and running once again this year. The Christian Science Monitor asks in a headline, “Is a pro-Romney ad racist? Five questions to ask yourself.”
No need for five questions; the answer to the CSM is simple: we’ll know if it’s an effective ad by the number of self-described liberals who declare it to be racist.
Update: “Easy, just compare it to Obama’s campaign HQ. Oh. Wait.”

I.e., the MSM is attempting to shape the narrative by asking: “Is ‘incompetent’ the new ‘ni**er’”? One can’t help hoping that at least a plurality of Americans will not allow themselves to be mau-maued in that fashion, and assert that having elected the man in 2008, they are now entitled to assess his merits based on the one record that he cannot get sealed.
Seriously, the Democrat-media complex would have us believe it’s racist to notice that a black idiot is an idiot. So according to their “logic”, when a “leader” produces a terrible economy, foreign policy havoc and general malaise, the world is supposed to stop and figure out if he’s black or not before deciding he stinks at his job. In other words, he can’t be evaluated based on his performance, he has to be evaluated on his color. Hey, ain’t that what we used to call racism?
The Democrat-media complex are either manipulative hypocrites or rock stupid, although those are not mutually exclusive.
