Not Wrong, Just Evil

June 10, 2011 - 11:00 am - by Ed Driscoll

We all knew Yahoo (or at least their New Zealand spin-off branch), as with virtually all leftwing reactionaries, hated Sarah Palin, but who knew they considered her “evil?”

The last sentence has since been scrubbed, presumably because of the boatload of hate mail the search engine received, but here’s what an an otherwise innocuous Yahoo NZ “Celeb-Look-Alike” page had to say about Palin:

It’s funny — the producers of a conservative/libertarian documentary on global warming, much more a socialist effort to control virtually every aspect of our lives than anything remotely considered “science,” we’re at least smart enough use a light touch and call their project Not Evil, Just Wrong. But the writers of a fun, breezy, gossipy celebrity look-alike page think nothing of declaring someone “evil.” (No wonder 35 percent or so of the left became obsessed with being “Truthers” in the wake of 9/11, as it got them off the hook of debating whether or not terrorists, let alone Islamofascist terrorists were evil.)

It’s this sort of thing that makes me want to see Palin run — and win if she does — or at least be a prominent part of the next GOP administration, if only to shove such groupthink (or group no-think, to be accurate) back in its makers’ collective faces.

At the very least, the Scanners-style heads exploding would certainly be fun to watch, no?

Update: Heh — good catch by reader “New Caledonia” in the comments below: “The Yahoo writer also thinks that Sarah Palin was Vice President. Boy, has she gotten under the skin of leftists — she loses the election and they still think she won!”

Update: Albeit almost certainly unintentionally, Yahoo’s New Zealand branch really lived out Krauthammer’s Law, eh?

  1. This is no accident. It’s part of the bigger picture. Too many liberals really do see the Right as evil instead of realizing we believe in different ways of improving society. It’s hard to have a constructive argument with someone who insists you would eat little babies and kick old people down the stairs if given the chance.

Maybe I’m an optimist, but I think all this will backfire on the crazy, lying,
hateful talking parrots. They have absolutely no argument without the same old rhetoric. The folks are getting tired of it.

On Occasion I have heard commentators of different views agree to disagree. However the behavior of the LEFT and RINO and so called Moderate Republicans towards Palin makes me think that THEY need serious psychiatric help. Sara Palin’s ability to function in the wake of such vitriol and obnoxious as well as outrageous behavior should make her the Poster Grown up of Mental Health.

And that is what drives the liberal left crazy. She just keeps on going.
They cannot drag her down. She can take a licking and she just keeps on ticking. I love it.

To be a liberal is all too often to be a lightweight.

I’m going to revise and extend: I seriously doubt the kinds of people who do this are even liberals, in the sense of actually knowing anything about politics and what’s actually being discussed. What they are is “liberal fans”–with as much knowledge, and as much courtesy, as any fair weather fan in a football stadium on a Sunday. Homers. They’re ignorant homers. “Yay, liberal home team, fight.”

The other side has its homers too. It’s just that I think the impulse to show you are “one of the enlightened” is much higher on the side that cheers on the left.

It is past time to call this sort of thing by its true name: Palinophobia.

Start filing the hate crime complaints; Palinophobia must not be allowed to spread.

I once heard a wise man say – “No one is neutral to the truth. Upon hearing or seeing the truth some people will love it, and the rest will hate it. But No One will say, huh.”

I think the MSM recognized what Sarah was and what she represented the very first day. And I think her inate Truth is what sustains her and makes her such an instalbe target for them. Because she isn’t one of the Beltway Phonies you cannot attack her by the Phonies rules. And against the someone who understands reality and the truth, they have no ammunition.
