Saul Alinsky would be so proud:

The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) has stepped up their protest efforts in Madison, WI in an attempt to stop Governor Scott Walker’s efforts to close his state’s projected $3.6 Billion budget shortfall over the next two years.

Gov Walker has proposed that public employee unions pay a larger portion of their health benefits & pension plans as well as limiting their collective bargaining rights to matters of basic wages.

Protests have been taking place all week with “sick out” strikes affecting major schools in Wisconsin.  The opposition to Walker’s plans have been categorized as volatile with violent underpinnings such as protestors walking the halls of the state capitol saying, “Come out, come out, wherever you are!”   With more protests planned over the coming days, WEAC has provided a list on their website of the home addresses for all legislators set to vote on the Governors plan.  The link which takes a user to this list only states that it has “Phone Numbers & Email Addresses” however a quick glance at the list proves otherwise.

Ben Howe of Red State concludes:

It has come to light that the Obama administration, the DNC, and their activist arm Organizing for America have had a guiding hand in the protests this week causing some to question the President’s commitment to a “new tone.”

Law Professor William A. Jacobson uses language that’s as blunt as the president’s: “Obama Acted Stupidly In Picking Sides Against The Taxpayers.”

  1. I don’t wanna give them any traffic, Ed, but do you know if the website lists the addresses of the missing Democratic state senators? Might give investigators a clue of where to look for those cowards. :D

Maybe the WEAC home addresses ought to be published also. Spread the wealth.

  3. Ed – It’s how they roll. A few years ago, the no-borders Reconquista crowd invaded the property of a Racine-area state Senator (since retired, and now DNR secretary), for which the tresspassers did not so much as get charged.

ConservativeWanderer – They also included the addresses of the Dems.

    • Thanks for the confirmation, Steve.

Now, the $64,000 question is… will these folks demonstrate at any of the Dems’ houses, or will it be a purely partisan thing? The answer to that could be very revealing.

The addresses for the legislators are available at the WEAC website, but they have disabled their own contact information. What a bunch of hypocrits.

Looks like self defense prep is indicated. Legislators need not depend on others for their defense. They can do it themselves.

Mighty convenient to have an e-mail list of all the Dems. I just went through the links and sent them all a little note expressing my disgust with their cowardice and duplicity.

    Impeach the agitator. Now.

If anyone gets hurt, they should be held liable.

Finally, Obama has managed to get his ‘security force as strong, and well financed like the military’ as he envisioned during the campaign? His stormtroopers?

“Law Professor William A. Jacobson uses language that’s as blunt as the president’s: “Obama Acted Stupidly In Picking Sides Against The Taxpayers.””

Oh, come on. Very Important Smart People with degrees from Columbia and Harvard (or Yale, etc.) can’t be stupid. Commandante Zero has clearly seen who is in the right, who is racist, who will win, and sided appropriately. It’s not stupid to disagree with Jacobson; it’s simply disagreement. The One is smarter, wiser, than us all.

Anyone have current data on primary and secondary educator life-style issues? Vacations, location/travel, duration, consumption related data?

Perhaps related data? From content of monthly union mags and/or e-zines for teachers? Do they publish 12 months of the year? Ad distribution and density would be related to life-style as well.

I’m looking for an (observational study with a) distribution by population of time and effort to compare against the white-collar and blue-collar demographics. My guess it’s not as simple as (180 school days + 10 other) * 7-9 hours a day compared to the white collar 240 days * 8/10/12 hours a day – and the blue-collar job + overtime/part-time job of today.

I suspect the members of Wisconsin Education Association Council and the mission democratic legislators also have home addresses.
