If this story is true, then once again, Mel Gibson opens bottle, inserts foot into mouth, and twists hard:

Think of the craziest, most racist thing you could tell your ex-girlfriend. Got it? I guarantee it’s still not as bad as what Mel Gibson said to his ex Oksana Grigorieva. Oh, did I mention there’s a tape? Because there’s a tape. R.I.P. Mel Gibson’s Career, 1976-2010. Radar says:

In one of the most explosive, racist and vile outbursts by a celebrity ever caught on tape, Mel Gibson told the mother of his love child that the way she was dressed would get her “raped by a pack of n***ers,” RadarOnline.com  has learned exclusively. It’s a shocking and blockbuster development in the couple’s bitter legal battle, and Mel’s disgusting words are on audio tape. His racist, misogynist statement is one of the secrets lurking in his war with his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

RadarOnline.com has heard the tape, which also includes Mel telling Oksana he will burn down her home.

“You’re an embarrassment to me,” Mel tells her at one point. “You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault.”

Mel’s profane outbursts are littered with references to Oksana being a “whore” and “c**t”.

In another tirade, Mel tells Oksana: “How dare you act like such a bitch when I have been so f**king nice. I am going to come and burn the f**king house down… but you will blow me first.”

This also has broader implications to Hollywood as a whole, which has an increasing dearth of Capital-S Star Power: 15 years ago, the industry could count on films starring Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood to print money just by their name being above the title. As that talent ages, implodes, or both, there are less and less names equal to their luster — which itself was nothing compared with the days of Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Bogie, John Wayne, et al — to take their place.

(By the way, considering Mel’s other obsession, nobody tell him the religion of Ralph Lauren, whose shirt Mel is wearing in the photo at the Radar Website.)

Mel has enough money to produce his own films. People will buy tickets to see them too. Whether that’s right or wrong, you be the judge. I’m just sayin’…

Mr. Driscoll, you have obviously lived a sheltered life if you think that these kind of foul- mouthed tirades come from a man because he is a racist. Gibson is a drunk and when sober he probably realizes he was a fool.Have pity on Gibson Mr. Driscoll and don’t be so judgemental.

  3. Indigo,

Actually, it’s part of my job to have judgments.

I have little doubt that Mel Gibson was probably drunker than a skunk. It’s his fault, however, that he has seemingly not tried to get his problem under control. A number of us cut him some slack regarding his disgusting insults to the police officer only a few years ago. Gibson must now pay a severe price if these current allegations are true.

  4. Funny/sad/accurate headline. It’s over. And yes, the day of the Movie Star is just about over. Tom Cruise is hated by the public, George Clooney’s political tastes are pushing him away from the masses and Mel Gibson just nixed any comeback attempts he might have made.

Love Mel the actor. Mel the person sounds like a piece of work.

And to Indigo – I’ve been drunk on a couple of occasions and never dropped the N-bomb. No excuses.

    Oh I don’t know.

I would say throwing a telephone at a hotel employee is worse than flinging a racist epithet, are any number of other physical wrongs committed by numerous celebrities. Raping a minor didn’t end Polanski’s career.

Mel Gibson is said in the linked article to have punched Oksana and knocked out a couple of her teeth. I’ll bet there’s a ton of Hollywood egoists who have hit their girlfriends or wives.

I think we should get a grip when it comes to “the n word”. Using it doesn’t make the user a Nazi death camp operator.

This doesn’t mean I am advocating for the use of the word, but when it is discovered that in a private situation someone used it … well that’s just not enough to crucify him.

I find it all a bit hypocritical and pretentious … and Gramscian.

“I find it all a bit hypocritical and pretentious … and Gramscian”

Dear God!! The stupid…. it burns!!!

  7. 7. Youknowwho

Troodat, you find using “the n word” in a private conversation to be worse than the all too common, yet not career ending, physical violence displayed by too many celebrities? Thought crime? Criminalizing thought in a climate of approved physical violence is a communist way of doing things.

Now could you say something intelligent, or was your comment meant to be reflexive? I’ve fixed up my hastily written comment so you can understand it, putting in bold words added to the previous version (nothing has been deleted).

I think we should get a grip when it comes to “the n word”. Using it doesn’t make the user a Nazi death camp operator. It is not the unimaginably bad crime it is made out to be by those with no critical thinking ability

@Youknowwho At what point will you stop excusing bad behavior because there’s always something worse? Murder?

  9. 9. Gaffe Prices

You never know, it could be performance art.

In Vino Veritas, Mel’s — may I call you “Mel”? — drunken states let us know what he REALLY thinks.
    “No excuses”, indeed.

Ugly, tragic downward spiral. Gallipoli, Man without a Face, The Road Warrior, What Women Want, and then his self-produced blockbusters. Whoosh, turned to ashes.

One would think a self-made man like him (Passion of the Christ *netted* him, alone, what, $400M) would be more consumed with told-you-so Lindsay Lohan partying than hate-fueled rants. Somehow Mel
    managed to combine both.

RIP, indeed. One more piece of Hollywood rendered unwatchable…furious

  11. 11. Youknowwho

I’m not excusing anything Free Radical. I just think that a lot of very common crimes by celebrities are a lot worse than using a taboo word in private. I find the reaction to be ridiculous and hypocritical.

Apparently, Mel Gibson is now the equivalent of Hitler, is now viewed with horror, and is deserving of hatred.

The Mel Gibson denouncers (for using the taboo word) must be lily pure indeed.

I think it’s more likely that they just love to have someone to hate, and that they are far from pure themselves.

  12. This will not hurt Mel as he has the money to produce his own projects.
The fact that he has been goaded into saying many things he probably regrets, recorded by his Russian mistress will mean nothing to the general public a few days from now.
Everyone knows that you would be a fool to enter any black community while being a white female dressed in anything other than a burka with a ak -47.
Mel has the bucks to speak as he pleases, blacks like to rape white women and kill white people, look at the numbers, they do not lie.
92 % of murders in LA are committed by non white people.
More people are killed each day in black cities than in our military bases overseas
Mekl will continue to be a great draw ,even among the blacks because they know he speaks the truth.

  13. Mel’s carrear is supposed to crash over a Russian whore who tricked him into blowing his top ?
This will be forgotten in a few days after the Russian Whore has recieved her money. After using their son as a tool to milk him for all the money her Jewish lawyers could drain from him she plays the race card.
She should do a walk through Detroit,Chicago etc to prove racist Mel wrong.
The Media may find that white slavery still exists in the good old USA.
Black areas are very dangerous despite what the media would have you believe.
This country elected a black Muslim president yet somehow we are all racist?
THe people will not be called racist until Obama looses by a landslide, but by this time most voters will be wise to the leftist medias full support of Obama and the tricks the commies have taught them.
