For those who remember Susan Sarandon’s didactic Haiti lecture at the Oscars years ago, the earnest celebrity aura is getting a little clouded. This year, she’s sponsoring models playing ping-pong for Haiti — when she’s not spanking a man-pig with a ruler on the stage of a rock concert.
This doesn’t look like a coordinated public-relations strategy.

What a shame. He was so good in “The Larry Sanders Show”. Then again, he was also Buzz Beckerman in “Beer”, the movie, so, you never know….78 huh? Crazy kids. When will they learn?
He certainly has one of the most varied filmographies you’ll ever see – everything from early bit parts in classic Kazan films to TV shows like “Bonanza” and “Mannix” (!); the epic “King of Kings”, “The Seduction of Joe Tynan” (with Alan Alda as a “respected liberal Senator”), plus universally acknowledged masterworks like “Coma” and “The Beastmaster”.
I await the latest mugshot. It’s doubtful it will disappoint.
