It’s 3:00 AM PM. There’s A Phonecall In The White House To Hawaii. And as Don Surber writes, “Obama wants to lawyer the Global War On Terrorism.” Something Mr. Surber is not happy about:

President Obama’s first public remarks — 3 days after the fact — enough time to read “The Pet Goat” aloud 864 times — on the Christmas Day attack were very telling.

Some outtakes:

“As the plane made its final approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, a passenger allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device on his body, setting off a fire.”

“The suspect is now in custody and has been charged with attempting to destroy an aircraft.”

“Had the suspect succeeded in bringing down that plane, it could have killed nearly 300 passengers and crew, innocent civilians preparing to celebrate the holidays with their families and friends.”

“This incident, like several that have preceded it, demonstrates that an alert and courageous citizenry are far more resilient than an isolated extremist.”

The transcript is here.

The man is a lawyer. He is trying to lawyer this war. What is with “a passenger allegedly tried”? Is he saying there is a possibility the man just happened to have a fetish for having pentaerythritol tetranitrate in his undershorts? Is he saying the other 277 passengers are liars?

The president does not seem to be taking this threat seriously. His reaction was as lame as it was to teh Fort Hood massacre. The only thing missing was a shout-out to some obscure Indian chief.

Three days to react.

But dang, he dropped his golf club to rush “home” when a friend of his kids bumped his head.

Remember how we worried about this guy taking a 3 AM call?

He cannot even handle a 3 PM call.

Who could have foreseen this?

Update: As we enter the post-response phase of the man-caused disaster aborted because “the system worked”, Rob Port notes that “Obama Tees Off 40 Minutes After Saying He ‘Will Not Rest’ Until Terrorists Are Brought To Justice.” As Rob adds, “I’m sure there are plenty of liberals out there who want to say that this criticism isn’t fair. And to them I want to say, take it up with Michael Moore.”

Is it 2012 yet? When can we get rid of this pompous, left-wing, anti-American, effeminate LAAAAWYYAA?

The mass immigration of Muslims, in particular, seems like a really bad idea.
